For those of you still following this story or for those of you who are new to this story, i have deleted my other chapters and have rewritten them! I found my files on my laptop the other day and cringed when I saw my writing from when I was younger. So I decided I would rewrite it with somewhat better writing and a slightly different storyline that's been swirling in my head for a while now! As you'll notice, some things have been removed from the story and other things have been added but I think it makes the story better than it was so I really hope you guys like it. :) I'm on a roll with writing chapters right now since I'm home for the summer so hopefully I can finish this story soon and start posting chapters very frequently. So without further ado, I present to you, Chapter 1:

Chapter 1

"Stevie." Someone whispered my name.

"Steeevieee!" the same person hissed my name again. Something warm poked my side. A finger.

"Stevie," Poke, "Stevie," Poke, "Stevie," Poke, "Stephanie," Poke, "Stephanie," Poke, "Steeeeee" Poke, "vieeeeee!" another poke.

"What!" I hissed at the person, keeping my eyes closed. Couldn't they just let me sleep?

"Hi." The person answered. I could hear the smile on this stranger's face. My eyes snapped open and I came face to face with a pair of big brown eyes. Seth. Of course.

"What do you want?" I groaned, rolling over to face the wall.

"Get up, its 4pm." he said as he stood up and opened my curtains. My room filled with bright light. I grunted and pulled the covers over my head. I must've dozed off while watching a movie earlier because I don't usually sleep this late.

He chuckled and jumped into bed next to me, pulling the covers off of my face.

"How are you feeling? Your mom said you were sooo and had to stay home from school today." He said, sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"Eh, my stomach hurt so I asked her if she could call me out for the day." I said, rolling over to face him.

Seth laughed, "You stayed home over a stomach ache? Really Stevie? You think I'm going to believe that?" I rolled my eyes and got up. I walked to my closet for a clean outfit for the remainder of the day. Seth followed me, leaning against the door frame. "Unless your stomach was just in knots cause a certain someone didn't finish their summer assignment and since they're such a goodie two-shoes, they didn't want the late mark." He said, raising an eye brow to ask if he was right. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Yeah yeah, I didn't finish my photography assignment." He chuckled.

"You do realize we had the entire summer to work on that."

"Yeah, well I forgot about it." I mumbled as I walked to my bed to throw the covers over it. The teachers thought it would be a cool idea to give the students an activity over the summer. They thought it would 'keep our minds fresh' for the incoming school year. We were able to choose a subject/elective and create a mini portfolio full of what we did. Since I love photography so much I went with that and was supposed to create a portfolio of pictures I took. Me being so caught up with summer was too careless and forgot about the assignment. We were now one week into senior year and they were collecting it today. Friday. So naturally I skipped.

"When are you gonna do it?" he asked.

"This weekend, and you're going to help me, right?" I asked, giving my best puppy dog eyes. He thought about it for a few minutes.

"Yea, why not." I smiled.

"Great! I'm gonna go shower and then we can go out in the woods and see what I can find for pictures!" I said enthusiastically.

He groaned, "And what am I gonna do while I wait? DJ is down stairs and I really don't feel like sitting down there while the kid just ignores me." He fell onto my bed and pulled out his phone, probably going on social media or something.

"You know, you should really get over your disliking of DJ." I told him, standing in the bathroom doorway. "He's only, like, a year older than you and he's not going to hurt you. Plus, he's never done anything wrong to you."

"Dude the kid literally just doesn't like me! He hasn't for two years, since I accidently scratched his car…" I thought back to the time Seth and I were cleaning out the garage and he leaned a bike against DJ's new pick up.

"I mean… you shouldn't have leaned something against the car…"

He threw his phone on the bed and sat up. "Stevie, you literally told me to just lean it over there! How was I supposed to know you meant the wall and not the car that was right. There." He shouted. I just laughed.

"Relax you idiot, I'm messing around. The scratch was fixed and the car is fine, DJ is over it I promise!"

"No, I'm not!" DJ yelled from the hallway as he walked past my room. Seth's face dropped and I just chuckled.

"Just chill here, I'll be out in a few minutes." I walked into the bathroom while Seth laid back down on my bed. The bathroom was all mine, it was originally the master bath but when my dad added the addition to the house, I moved into the old master room and my parents got the new master room. My bathroom had an installed speaker system that my dad set up for me since I love music so much. It also connects to my bedroom so I could listen to the music always. I picked an artist that I knew Seth wouldn't mind listening to since he would be able to hear it- Taylor Swift. He says he hates her but I'm pretty sure he has a few of her albums on his phone. I put on You Belong with Me, my favorite song of hers.

I showered quickly, ran a comb through my long hair, added a bit of gel to control the curls, and put on a pair of semi-short running shorts and a loose tee shirt. I checked my reflection in the mirror to make sure I was ready to go.

My hair is brown, long and curly, falling to the middle of my back. I have light chocolate brown eyes that sometimes look golden, depending on the lighting that day. They're my favorite feature of myself because they are a little different than most Quileute people. The rest of my features are the normal Quileute features- brown hair, tan skin, tall and thin, nothing crazy or unique. I was your average seventeen-year-old girl. I ran track for the past three years so I have a pretty fit body. I also sing and dance so I star in every year's spring and winter musical. This causes me to have a pretty decent endurance as well since I have to be able to run around while also singing.

I love music and singing, it is my absolute favorite thing to do. My friend Brady is also a singer so we are always hanging out and writing music or just singing songs because he is so talented. I love singing with him, he is always showing me little tricks on how to change my voice and pitch. He also taught me how to play the guitar a few years ago because it had always been a dream of mine. Now I can play and write music so he always joins in and sings with me.

I walked back into my room and Seth looked up, his eyes lingering on my short shorts a little longer than necessary. I fake coughed and he looked back at his phone, biting his lip and blushing slightly.

"Your girlfriend wouldn't like that yenno." I said with a smirk, pleased that he had checked me out, if even for a brief moment.

Seth Clearwater is my best friend. He lives right next door so we grew up together, becoming best friends since the day we could walk. Our moms were best friends back in high school so when my parents got married and bought the house next door from the Clearwaters, our moms decided that Seth and I were going to grow up and be best friends whether we liked it or not. Lucky for them, Seth and I were the same person and got along great. Seth is tall, lean, tan, and honestly really hot. He has shaggy black hair that falls just above his dark brown eyes that I love oh so much. He is the kindest guy I've ever met; he worries about everyone but himself and makes sure he can help anyone when he's able to. He's sweet and caring and considerate and funny and silly and wow I can go on and on about how perfect Seth is.

Yes, it's possible I may have developed a small crush on Seth over the years but I'd never act on it. He doesn't see me like that at all and even if he did, we're too good of friends to risk losing it over an attempted relationship. Plus, he has a girlfriend who I low-key hate. He doesn't know I hate her, but I'm pretty sure he knows I'm not a fan of her. Her name is Jenna and I have this incredibly strong feeling in the pit of my stomach that she is just using him for sex. I haven't told him my thoughts because I know it would hurt him but I make sure to keep my eye on them. They've only been dating for about two weeks but who knows what they've done or haven't done. I don't like talking to him about because honestly it kind of upsets me hearing that he's dating someone that isn't me. Not that I'd ever date him! But hey, a crush is a crush, jealousy is a package deal with it.

"Shut up." Was all he said, closing his phone and walking to my door. "You ready to go?"

"Yup!" I grabbed my camera, put on sneakers, and followed him down to the kitchen.

"DJ do you know when mom and dad will be back? And where's Selena?" I asked, seeing DJ sitting at the kitchen table with what looked to have been a meatball sandwich.

"Uhh, I think dad said around 7 or 8, but I'm not sure. They won't be home for dinner though, I know that much. And I think Selena is out on a date." He said. Not a surprise, Selena has been talking to this guy for a few weeks now and they go on dates almost every Friday night so I should've known that'd where she'd be. Selena is my younger sister, she's 16 and looks just like me- long brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin, tall and thin. We sometimes pretend to be twins since were so close in age and looks but everyone in town knows us well enough to know we are very different.

"Well gee, thanks for including me in your dinner plans." I grabbed an apple as DJ just laughed. "Seth, you want anything?" he shook his head no.

"We're going for a walk so I'll be back later!" I shouted to DJ as Seth and I walked out the back door. DJ just waved his hand to let me know he heard but couldn't answer due to food being stuffed in his face.
