-Wednesday, 3rd period chemistry-
Kurt looked at the paper that was solemnly placed on his desk, and looked over at the other boys. He lifted it up. C-
Great. He thought. Way to go, Kurt.
He sighed, thinking of a solution, then grinned to himself. Tutoring.
When class was over, he pulled his bag nicely over his shoulder and walked across the room to the desk of a boy who was still studying. "Hello, Daniel," he said quietly.
Dan looked up, "Oh, hi, Kurt,"
"Listen, I know you're good at chemistry."
"Yeah…"
"So I was wondering if you could tutor me,"
"What's the catch?"
"I know how much you like the Warblers."
"And?"
"And, in exchange for chemistry lessons, I could give you a lesson-or two- in musicianship…" He looked down at how Dan was wearing his uniform. "And maybe a wardrobe makeover... Anyways..."
Dan bit his lip. It was definitely a good offer. "Fine, its a deal,"
"Oh, good, I'll see you tomorrow then?"
"Tomorrow. Got it." he nodded, adjusting his glasses.
Bingo.
-Thursday, 3pm-
"So, the molar mass is…" Dan said, walking in front of Kurt's desk.
"A mass per mole," Kurt replied, leaning back on his chair, almost falling.
"Correct,"
Kurt's phone rang. It was Blaine. He grinned to himself, but Dan noticed. "Someone special?"
"Maybe,"
"Can I ask who?"
Kurt's grin disappeared a bit, but he didn't frown. "You seem trustworthy,"
Dan just nodded, leaning against the mantel.
"Blaine."
"Ah,"
"You're not-"
"No, no," Dan said. "But I understand completely. You two have real chemistry"
Kurt quickly replied, to his text then looked back up. "Well, that's enough for chemistry. I'm a man of my word. Now tell me, what type of songs do you listen to?"
"Ah,"
"What songs do you know?"
"I know one."
"One?"
"The elements song!" Dan said, enthusiastically.
"Elements...oh dear…"
Dan opened his mouth and started to sing a long fast song listing all the elements of the periodic table.
"Oh, dear, where is Rachel when I need her?" Kurt repeated, palm to his forehead, and leaning back again, this time actually falling, letting out a squeal.
Dan rushed to help him up, and as he did, Blaine happened to pass by. "Wh-"
Kurt's eyes widened. "It's nothing I-I-fell…"
"Oh?"
"He did,"
"Yeah?"
"Yes."
"Who do you think you are? With those glasses, messy hair, and everything? Harry Potter?"
"What? I'd be more Harry Potter than you'd ever be!"
"What have I done…" Kurt muttered as Blaine and Dan were having a ridiculous argument about who would make the better Harry Potter.
"I'm British!"
"I can sing!"
"Oh, my, sweet mother of pearl," Kurt said, shaking his head as the two continued their argument.
The two went on, and Kurt just watched, as eventually a few more boys passed by wondering what the fuss was about.
Finally, Kurt spoke up. "LOOK, NOTHING HAPPENED!"
"Huh?" the two stopped their quarrel.
"Nothing happened."
"You don't-" Blaine started.
"No," Kurt said, bluntly. "I'm not making the same mistake I did back at McKinley, besides, he became my step-brother, and now...nevermind! That's not the point." He was now glaring at Blaine.
"Kurt," Blaine said. "I-I'm sorry," He looked at Dan. "I'm sorry."
Dan stood back a bit, and Blaine scratched his head. "I'll make it up to you, I'll buy you lunch tomorrow?"
"I'll be going now…" Dan said, slipping out of the room.
"I have a confession." Kurt said, sitting down.
"Me too," Blaine admitted. "Want to say it at the same time, then grab something to eat?"
"Sounds good. One…"
"Two…"
"I like you!" Kurt had his eyes shut, waiting for the worse, but then he opened them to find Blaine grinning at him.
"Woah," they both muttered.
