Thoughts and Letters: A Myn Donos Veggie

By: Kristin Ohman

Disclaimer: George Lucas owns everything important. I own nothing important. Also, Kirney's message comes from Solo Command, by Aaron Alaston.

A/N: I've always wondered how Myn reacted to Kirney's letter in Solo Command. This is how I believe Myn reacted to that letter.

Myn rubbed his eyes tiredly as he walked into his quarters. The party where he had just come from, celebrating the Wraiths new status, was finally slowing down at four in the morning. Myn knew that if they weren't scheduled to be in Courascant if a few hours the party would have still been going strong.

Tired as he was, he almost missed the blinking red light at the comm station. He frowned at the blinking light. Wedge had already told him about his new place among the Rouges, so it couldn't be about that. If Wes tried to get back at Myn for the Ewok prank, he wouldn't do so over the comm. So who could it be?

Turning on the comm, he put in his personal code and started the message.

"Hello Myn."

He froze. That voice. The voice that haunted his dreams. haunted his nightmares..

"It's been a while since we've seen one another. I'm back on Corellia
now, after a few years of knocking around the galaxy."

Dead. She's supposed to be dead. Commander Antilles saw her crash. He said that she's dead.but what if.

"And I know, after the way we parted company, you may not want
to see me again. But I had to find out if there was any sort of
chance for us. I think I'm finally ready and able to give it a try
again."

He studied the woman's face, trying to look past her changed, hopeful face to the face in his mind. The face that once gave him hope for a future, the face he had grown to love.

"I'll be here, at the address given in the message header for
the next few weeks. I'm trying to drum up traffic for my new shuttle
business. I have a ship, a Sentinel-class landing craft I obtained
used."

Myn quickly wrote down the address in the header. Corellia.. Of all the places she could have gone, she went there. He knew why she went there. The New Republic and the Empire had no control there. Since she was considered a traitor to both governments, Corellia was the ideal hiding place. But it would make visiting her difficult. 'What am I thinking?!'

"I have a copilot you really need to meet and an astromech you
already know."

'She must mean Tonin. Good. Cink will be glad to see him again. That is, if I do go.'

"Contact me, visit me - do whatever you feel you have to. I'll
accept whatever you decide."

Myn paused the message and reached up to touch her face. Lara, no, Kirney, was breaking his heart. Deep in his heart, he had never stopped loving her. And now here she was, tempting him with a way to have a future. A future with her.

Myn sighed, then turned off the comm. He went to bed, his mind going over various repercussions for what he was now thinking of doing.

Two weeks later, the following message was forwarded to Corellia.

Hi Kirney.
I'm willing to try us again if you are. We do need to
talk, though. I'm on a mission at the moment, but would you be
willing to wait until I get done here? I'll send a message when I can
get to Corellia.
Myn.
