A/N: I know it's been done, but hopefully not exactly like this. Props go to Rick Riordan.
Oh. My. Gods.
"PERCY!" I screeched, backing into the corner and staring at the spider just above the shower head.
I flicked it the water off, with my foot, and grabbed a towel, eyes trained on the spider the whole time.
Yes. Spider. It was all Arachne's fault. If she didn't curse all of Athena's children, I wouldn't be in this situation right now.
"Annabeth? What's wrong? Are you okay?" Came the voice of my very worried fiance. Fiance. I was filled with joy at calling him that, for a second. Then, the spider move towards me.
"PERCY!" I screeched again. I seemed like that was all I could say. I wrapped my towel securely around my waist. You're okay, you're calm, you're intently watching the enemy defenceless-
It's leg just twitched.
"Percy. Percy. Percy." I chanted, not nearly loud enough for him to hear, but loud enough for me to warn the spider. Yeah, that's right. Percy's coming you big evil insect from Hade-
The door burst open and smacked against the wall, making me jump. Unfortunately, I was in the shower. The wet and slippery shower.
It happened in slow motion. My feet set themselves back on the ground, the heel of my right foot slipped at almost the same time it was set on the ground. Slowly, I watched as the spider disappeared from sight, and the ceiling was getting farther from my eyes. I finally closed my eyes, prepared to hit my head very hard against the side of the tub.
I should've predicted the strong arms that would wrap around my towel-covered waist.
I breathed a slient sigh of relief, before my ADHD brain registered that the spider had moved.
"Percy!"
"What?" He asked slowly, as if not understanding why I was shrieking when I was securely wrapped in his arms.
"Get it!"
"What?"
"Get the s-sp-spider!" I exclaimed, cringing into him. It was listening in to our conversation. It was going to make it's move any - "THERE!"
"What?"
"Can't you say anything else? The spider, Seaweed Brain. It's right there." I lifted a shaky finger to point at it.
"Oh."
Oh. Oh? Oh? Gods can't he just kill it already.
My feet lifted off the ground and were set down just as quickly. "...Percy?"
"I'm killing it alright?"
I nodded shortly. I clamped my hands over my eyes, not wanting to witness the spider's death. Not that it shouldn't die, it shou-
"Dead." Percy proclaimed, I heard the flush of the toilet.
I peaked from behind my fingers, looking at him, only slightly scared. "Sure?"
"Dead." He confirmed wrapping his arms around my waist. I pecked his lips his lips in thanks. His breath tickled my ear as he said, "Is there any reason that towel is still on?"
Leave it to Percy to ruin the moment. "Yes." I said simply, stepping carefully out of his arms. "Out, Spider Killer."
He rolled his eyes and clicked the door shut.
I got back into the porcelain tub, carefully stepping in. Percy wouldn't be able to save me from the other side of the house. I threw the towel off and started up the water again.
Mmm, I thought. Vanilla body was-
"PERCY! It has a friend!"
A/N: Ta-da. Spiders for Annabeth! I know it's short, but hey. Review?
