Selena slowly walked into the dark alley –way, tossing her dark curls. It was already late and she had to get home to tuck her children into bed, but of course, she knew she had to get on with her duties. And tonight was NO exception.
"Kitty-Cat," Ivy said, "the chores can wait, just go." Ivy was holding a little bundle in her arms, "The Man is waiting for you at your house."
"I know, it's just that-" she started to say but she couldn't say what she had to say.
"No buts, just go." Ivy was growing greener by the second, proving that if Selena didn't go, there would be a price to pay.
Selena sighed. "Alright." Quickly she rushed back down the alley, her tall, black boots clicking against the pavement. She turned back. "You're a life saver, Isles."
She ran down the long, winding road, rushing toward the brightly lit apartment on the distance. She knew she had to hurry back before-she stopped. It was too late. Before her stood a tall man, cloaked in black from his head to his foot, and he wore a scowl on his face.
"Bit late for crime isn't it-"he paused, looking for the right word. "Sweetie." He hissed the word.
"H-Honey, I-I-I didn't-"
"Didn't what?" he raised his eyebrows questioningly.
"Didn't think."
"Obviously." He grabbed her arm and yanked on it. "Come on. We're going home."
It was like a father and his naughty children who had snuck out late at night for a party. Selena groaned. This is exactly what she DIDN'T want to happen tonight. But it happened, and now came the punishment. And Selena knew what it would be.
Ivy was at her apartment, rocking her little girl to sleep when a crashing noise came for the living room.
"Edward," she called as she stepped out of the room, "please try to be quieter."
"Ivies," someone laughed. It wasn't her husband, Edward Nygma, but a clown. Not just any clown but, The Joker, "I'd like to see the baby I pretty much birthed."
"Get out!" she shouted as she lunged for the phone. She knew that if she dialed 911 that she wouldn't have to talk because the Batman would have their number on some warning thing, mainly because of all the things that could hurt normal human would hurt them worse.
He shoot at the phone, but the number was already dialed. And Batman was on his way. Or so she hoped.
