The darkness was all she could see. It's all she'd seen for five years. The air was cold and moist with water. She could taste it, the mucky waters that had evaporated into the once warm air. Her mind was not within her prison walls that wrapped around her. She had the spirit of her mother; she would not break easily, even after five years. They would not break her. One day she would leave. One day she could be a child again. All she had to do was wait.

The voice that called her name was not one she wanted to hear. This didn't matter however; she turned around and greeted the source with a happy tone and large smile.

She called to him with fake longing as he pulled her into his cool embrace. In truth, she hated the man, but he was her only chance of escaping the cold prison. How she had fallen, were he was her only hope. She was an angel, tortured and burned by the devil's demon, but she didn't fight him, he was they key to everything. So she let him kiss her mouth and she let his hands travel her body, but her heart would never belong to him. It belonged to another he would surely murder if he suspected. She kissed him and she slept with him no matter how much it repulsed her to because she needed him. It would break him when she betrayed him, she knew, because he loved her, truly he did. She just didn't care, too callused by her misery to care. H was a means to an end, nothing more. He made his bed when he took her so young. "Make love to me," she whispered, pretending the man in front of her was her love, it was the only way she could cope with what she did. He never needed more then those words from her lips to throw her on the bed that she would later refuse to lay to sleep upon.

He wasn't gentle, never gentle, one of the many things that covered her list of why she hated him. But none of it mattered, if he got Voldemort to agree to release her, she and her lover could escape. They would go join the light and fight with them to defeat the powerful, yet cowardly men in the dark forces. They would be able to marry and start a family. She'd be able to taste air made by flowers and feel sunlight on her skin once again.

When she escaped she would sleep in a bed of fresh flowers and bath in the dark blue sea. She would dance in the golden rays of sun and swing in a tire swing. She would never go inside again, never have to look into the dark. In the day the sun would guide her and in the night the moon would protect her.

All she had to do was wait.

A/n You can place whom ever you want in these roles. I always think of the lover as Draco but i made it no descript so you can imagine anyone. Hope you liked it!
