It was a sunny summer day as a 13 year old girl with shoulder length brown hair was walking to her first year of middle school, she had on a white mini-skirt with pleats and ruffles at the hem, and a white top with a yellow bow as well as black socks that go up to mid-shin, and brown slip-on shoes. As she was walking to school she heard her name being called by a boy with short black hair and dark gray eyes with matching glasses.
"Mai!" the boy called out as he was running up to her out of breath.
"Hi Yasuhara!" The child named Mai said as she smiled to the boy, he was a little taller then she was so she kinda had to look up to him but she was as chipper as she normally was and on a day the sun was so bright but the boy didn't asked. Yasuhara had took one look at the girl and saw bruises and cuts up and down her body he had knew what had happened.
"Mai.." The boy said giving her a sad look but all she did was smile the best she could manage.
"Let's go or well be late! I don't want to be late for the first day of school!" She then took the boys hand and ran off.
Before they knew it, it was lunchtime and Mai as already outcast from her class. Yasu had walked into the lunch room carrying his lunchbox that he had made back in the fourth grade and made his way to Mai.
"I want to leave." She said as he sat down, and noticed her lunch was missing.
"What happened to the fire up girl?"
"He said he'll help Yasu, we can leave." Mai looked up to her friend with tears in her eyes. "We can escape."
"But what about school? They can find us here."
"Dad and Kazuma said they take care of it, it's rather now or never. If you're in we leave tonight." Mai gave Yasu a very serious and strike look, her eyes shine of fear and being scared, he knew he had to go with her, and as those words left the girl's mouth everything went black.
