A Long Kept Secret

There once was a space pirate named Kagato, who created a boy, since he needed a companion to help him take the world by using the greatest cosmic source, which could only be possessed by the kin of the Jurai Emperor, and he wanted to make his creation his son. Kagato decided to name his son Jakato, and he made him destroy everything his father tells him to do. Kagato loved his son more than anything on Earth, and took great care of him.

One day, Jakato fell in love with a Juraian girl named Magaru, but Kagato did not think Magaru was strong enough to help him take over the world. To keep them apart, Kagato sent Magaru to Yume and her assistant Hishima, on another spaceship, to make a micromachine.

Soon after, the Galaxy Police got out of control and they went crazy. Kagato came over to get the micromachine that Magaru helped build, but somehow the Galaxy Police found Kagato, and was about to shoot him, but Magaru, a kind and sweet person, pushed him out of the way, the bullets going through her.

The Galaxy Police left, chasing after Yume and Hishima. About to die, Magaru smiled and told Kagato to take care of Jakato for her. Magaru, then pasted away, and Kagato felt more sorry than he already is since he was wrong about Magaru. He couldn't tell his son what had happened, so he told Jakato that she went on Jurai to talk to the emperor for a while about the Galaxy Police.

Jakato continued to think about Magaru and the life they might have together.

One night, many weeks later, there was a knock on Jakato's sleeping quarters. When Jakato opened it, he was surprised to see Magaru standing there.

"Tenchi and the others asked me to come and get you. Your father is there also, helping Washu," she said.

"Fine, we'll take the Soujo. It's a ship that I've built for us, in the future." Jakato said smiling.

Jakato led Magaru to another ship that was connected on his father's ship. When they were both on the Soujo, Jakato and Magaru headed for Earth.

Jakato kept his arm around Magaru, as they headed for Earth, but he suddenly said, "Why, you are as cold as ice. I hope you're not ill."

Magaru smiled and answered, "It aches. Something terrible. I think my headache is getting worst by the minute."

Jakato took a piece of his cloak and tore it up, tying it around Magaru's head, since he didn't have any medicine. The trip to Earth was quiet and peaceful, and within an hour, they reached Earth and landed at the Masaki's house. Magaru and Jakato walked out of the Soujo. Magaru stood next to the lake, looking out at the jellyfish, while Jakato walked to the front door.

When the door opened, Jakato was surprised to see Kagato, his father felt the same. Kagato kept on staring at his son until Jakato said, "Didn't you send for me?"

"No, I didn't?" he said. Tenchi, Ryoko, Kenny, Ayeka, Sasami, and Washu all came to the door to see what was happening, but then they heard Mihoshi fall to the ground behind them.

Jakato turned around and saw that Magaru wasn't standing by the lake anymore. For an hour, everyone, except for Kagato who was looking frightened, helped search for Magaru. Jakato swore he saw her standing by the lake the last time.

Still terrified, Kagato told his son the truth about Magaru's death. Jakato couldn't believe what his father was saying so Kagato took him back to his ship with Tenchi and the others. When they reached Kagato's ship, they went straight to his laboratory.

Kagato opened a big, gray filing cabinet, but inside was a body. Jakato took a closer look and saw that it was Magaru's body with Jakato's ripped cloak around her head. Washu couldn't revive Magaru, because it had been a while since Magaru died.
