AN's: Just a little drabble because Riarkle owns me.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
"Dance with me?"
Riley blinked at the hand that obstructed her vision and looked up to see Farkle standing over her.
She sighed as she took his hand, allowing him to lead her to the dance floor. He laid his hands lightly on her waist.
The graduation party was in full swing. She was surrounded by her classmates, all laughing and sharing memories and their hopes for the future.
Even the parents were having a good time as they crowded around the dessert table drinking coffee. She caught her father's eye and he raised his cup to her in a toast. She tried to smile for him.
Farkle was quiet as they danced and she was grateful.
Restlessly, Riley looked across the room to where Lucas and Maya were also dancing.
"All I know is that I don't know anything," she said. "They look happy…"
"You'll be happy too, Riley." Farkle's voice was soft and his gaze was warm as Riley looked back at him.
"You think so?"
"I know so." Farkle smiled at her, his thumb tracing comforting circles on her waist.
Without thinking, Riley moved into him and as his arms circled her she buried her face in his neck.
"Thank you for being here," she whispered. She pulled back to look at him.
"Always." His dark eyes twinkled at her and something in Riley's stomach fluttered.
It was the same way he had always looked at her, but instead of pulling away she stayed put…
…and for the first time that night, she smiled.
