DISCLAIMER: I only own the characters, and the town

"Your reasons are worthless, you know that right?" "Yes sir." "You're my dog, right?" "Yes, sir." "Then beg, beg for a job." "I could..." "Or I could report you for being a corrupt officer and how you abuse your soldiers… couldn't I?" "You wouldn't" I move my thumb and middle finger swiftly together, hoping he'll take it. "Oh, I think I will." I could tell that my tactic wasn't working, so I pulled my hand into a fist. "... " He sat there, sweat pouring from his face. "Well, you have to make a decision." "If you don't tell… I- I- keep my job, right? I won't hurt you.. or- or-" "Yes I think that would be fine." I'll tell later of course, but I'm too low right now. "I would appreciate it if you were to sign me up right now." I said, letting my fist slip slightly. "I'll- I'll do that now." "Thank you very much. Goodbye!" Before I turned to leave, I pressed my fingernail into my palm enough to make a mark, I released, slowly and calmly, then I exited the building. "You won't get in, there's just no way, Parrot." I just glanced at him, a natural fear inducement. "I wouldn't put my money on that if I were you." With that I slipped away, I'll have to find something to occupy my time 'til tomorrow.

Outside, everyone feared me. They hated me, but because of that constant fear no one would admit it. This place is pathetic, but very useful for laying low. The town called Deddoraito, it was like they made it for failure. Over in the alley way, someone was getting mugged, what a bother, and now I'm going to have to start cleaning it up, aren't I? Well, at least I won't today, that commander was just as corrupt as any other, which was my way in, but this one wasn't anything special. Apples for sale, screaming parents, rotting bodies that lurked in the streets, it made me want to give up on life it was so depressingly dull. At least I have a job, that gets me places. And considering how much they fear me, I won't even need to work that hard, just scare them, move on. Come to think of it that's pretty boring, maybe a killing to stir things up… No, people die all the time here, it wouldn't be anything new. Unless… I turn the knob to my house, well, it wasn't really a house, just a shack, but I didn't need to waste my time on anything else. I turn to a pile of hay, lay on it, with my sword beside it, and go stare at a pit of nothingness, waiting for sleep to roll by and claim me yet another night. Oh… so very, very boring.
