A cute fluffy li'l drabble because I felt like it. Let's say this takes place around episode 10. Really short.
Kai sighed and leaned back on the couch. For once, nothing had happened yet today, so the ninja were able to relax a bit. But honestly, he was a bit bored. He got up and walked around a bit, looking for something to do.
He was walking down the hall when a door flew open and Lloyd Garmadon ran out, in tears. He bumped right into Kai and fell down. "Whoa, are you okay?" Kai asked, helping Lloyd back up.
"I'm not hurt," The boy sniffled, wiping His eyes. "Just really sad."
Kai gave him a little smile. "I'm glad you're not hurt, at least. But what's wrong? You wanna talk about it? Might make you feel better."
Lloyd hugged Kai. "I'm scared." He mumbled. "I don't wanna be the green ninja. I don't wanna have to fight my dad."
Kai hugged Lloyd back. "It's gonna be okay, Lloyd." He said. "I promise. I know it's a lot of responsibility, and it's scary, but we'll help you."
"But… what if I can't?" Lloyd asked. "What if I can't do it and Ninjago is doomed?"
"You'll be able to. We've got your back." Kai stroked Lloyd's hair comfortingly. "I promise you, this will all have a happy ending."
"Really?" Lloyd whispered.
"Really." Kai smiled. I hope.
"Thanks, Kai." Lloyd pulled away, wiped his eyes, and smiled.
Kai smiled back. "No problem." He said. He felt bad for the kid. It really was an awful lot of responsibility, and he was still so young. But hopefully, they could help him and together they'd make everything right and have the happy ending he'd promised the boy.
