Lysander smiled to himself as he watched the happy, dancing couple. Today was Lily and James' wedding day, a very happy day for them. He was sitting by myself, just watching everyone with a happy smile on his face. He looked around the room to see Peter was trying to convince a girl to dance with him and she was refusing, just like old times. Remus was standing off to the side, a glass of wine in his hand, contently watching everyone else, also like old times. Sirius was... Where was Sirius? Lysander couldn't see him anywhere, but he was most likely off snogging some girl.
A few more minutes of people watching, he felt a tap on his shoulder and jumped, an incredible height, in his seat. Lysander turned around, ready to yell at the person, when he realized it was just Sirius. He was laughing at the raven haired man, holding two wine glasses tightly in his hands. "Just as jumpy as always, I see." He chuckled, sitting down next to Lysander and handing him one of the wine glasses. Lysander rolled his icy blue eyes playfully, "Shut up, Padfoot." He mumbled, but smiled slightly, letting Sirius know that he wasn't mad. "Sorry Vulpes. I didn't know that you would jump so badly." He apologized, using his 'special' nickname. It was 'Vulpes' because it meant 'Snow Fox' and that was Lysander's Animagus form.
Lysander sent him a playful glare, "Yes, you did." He said, then took a long drink from his wine glass. Sirius nodded, watching him. "Okay, I did know that you would jump." He admitted, smirking at his friend. Lysander blushed a little at that smirk and looked away from him. Lysander remembered being in love with that smirk, hell, he still was! He remembered running his pale fingers through Sirius' long, dark hair, kissing his soft lips and cuddling in the middle of the night. But Sirius doesn't remember any of it, and it was better that way, Sirius' happiness mattered much more than Lysander's. He didn't want Sirius to be heartbroken when he was... Gone. "Lysander?" He heard Sirius' voice break through his sad thoughts. Lysander looked up and wanted to cry when he saw the concern, worry and sadness in Sirius' eyes. "Are you okay? You looked upset about something." He said. Lysander shook my head. "No. I'm fine," he lied, "Just thinking of old times. Our days in Hogwarts." It was half true.
Sirius smiled, "Ah, Hogwarts. I miss the pranks we would pull on Snivlleus and the other Slytherins. I remember when James came up with the idea of the Marauders. Do you remember?" He asked, even though he knew that Lysander did. The raven nodded, "Yes, Padfoot. I remember." He said, then let himself get caught in the memories of happier times.
