She was right Ralon made it clear he hated her with bruises and blood. The other boy's wanted to help but she refused they didn't need to. Besides she needed to prove she was as good as any boy, to them and to herself.

If she did anything wrong he was there to point it out and to laugh at her. It would not be so bad if she did not mess common things up but she did. One time Alanna had nearly tackled him in class when he laughed at a grammar mistake. He had crudely pointed out how she talk like a peasant and how nobles did not make such mistakes

Granted she was the only one who was smaller then him, but the fact that he did bully her only gave proof that he was a coward.

Alanna knew something had to be done. Coram had been teaching her to fight but he was a swordsman. She needed to learn how to fight like a shang warrior or like a commoner. She needed to talk to George.
