"I love you, Chad" she said.
He just stared at her blankly.
He didn't know if her loved her yet.
He had never even experienced much love with family.
He opened his mouth, waiting for an answer but nothing came out.
Her eyes slowly started to water.
Sonny ran out the room, tears cascading down her face.
He couldn't believe what had just happened.
He had just made the most important thing in his life cry.
That's when he had a sudden epiphany.
She meant the world to him.
Every time he saw her, he felt sparks.
Her smile brightened his day.
He loved her.
More then anything in the world.
And now she thinks he feels the opposite.
He had to fix this.
Attention Everyone, please make your way to Stage 2 for a special performance
He prayed that this would work.
Soon enough everyone had made their way inside.
Including her.
They caught each others eyes.
Hers started to tear up.
He had to do this before it was too late.
"This is a song I wrote for Sonny Monroe," he said.
"I hope this explains everything.
He pulled out his acoustic guitar.
Oh, I know that I am here
And you are there, but we still have our love
We move just like the moon and sun
The sun comes up the moon rolls down
A world apart but they don't make a sound
They know their love spins us round
I've been to heaven, I've been to hell
I've been to Vegas and god knows where
But nothing feels like home like you babe
I love you more than you will ever know
Oh, I've got my car and my guitar
A couple pills a couple scars
But I made a wish on a lonesome star
Star oh star you shine so bright
Won't you grab me one small wish tonight
That I won't die on this destructive path of mine
I've been to heaven, I've been to hell
I've been to Vegas and go knows where
But nothing feels like home like you babe
I love you more than you will ever know
Than you will know
Dear, I love you more than you will ever know
He looked at her and saw his favorite Sonny smile.
Ignoring the clapping audience, he walked straight up to her.
"I love you, Sonny Monroe," he smiled.
"I love you, Chad Dylan Cooper," she smiled back.
He pulled her in for a very passionate kiss to show her he meant everything.
And he did mean everything.
Always.
