Disclaimer: I own nothing, JK Rowling owns Harry Potter.
Damn those Marauders and their stupid pranks! Lily Evans thought angrily as she sat on the grass of the Quidditch Pitch. They had made it their goal to irritate her as much as humanly possible in the seven years they would be forced to spend together. She only had a year left now, though. She couldn't wait to escape from them at the end of the next school year.
How could she even begin to explain why she hated them so much?! They were just so, so aargh! It was possibly because they were all so different - they wound her up in every possible way. Lily frowned, trying to come up with a list of characteristics which irritated her about each of them.
1) Peter Pettigrew. A pathetic suck up who was incapable of thinking for himself. There wasnt much more you could say about Pettigrew.
2) Remus Lupin. Remus was bearable, she supposed. They had always got along fairly well, and had become firm friends. They would have been closer if he wasnt a Marauder. As it was, the only thing that aggravated her about Remus was that he never stopped his friends. She could see why it might be hard - these were the Marauders after all, but sometimes she wished that Remus could control them.
3) Sirius Black. 'Mr Co-King Prankster' number one. Sirius was on of the two ringleaders of the Marauders. He had dated , at one time or another, most girls in the school - in other words, a player. He was the mastermind behind a number of large scale pranks, and resorted to teasing her whenever he was bored. Mainly about his friend, which brought her onto her next point.
4) James Potter. The bane of her existence. He never missed a chance to embarrass her. He had been asking her out since fourth year - at least three times a week. And these weren't simple 'Lily, will you go to Hogsmeade with me?". Oh no. They went more like this: 'Lily-flower my darling. Would you do me the honour of letting me escort you to Hogsmeade at the weekend?!', usually accompanied by some dramatic spell which showered her with flowers. Of course, these were said within earshot of every sixth year student in the school. Lily always refused. Mr Quidditch-star-my-head-is-so-swollen-i-cant-even-g et-off-the-ground Potter didnt need anything to make his ego any bigger than it was.
