Two Different Queens Are Very Much Alike
Beautiful as a rose petal they both were,
Rulers of nations that needed a savior,
Nasty villains and treacherous traitors
Tried to control and oust their power.
Yet strong-willed and tough these women were,
Courageous in the face of death,
Determined to do all that was right
To save their people from evil's breath.
Queen Esther
Queen of a reunited kingdom of Israel,
She believed in a plan set in motion by God,
And she was to play a role in that plan,
That she agreed to fulfill with a prayer and a nod.
Esther of Israel prepared lavish banquets
With Haman and King Xerxes alike,
And requested that her people, the Jews,
Be spared from death by Haman's strike.
She seized the opportunity God placed before her,
As ruler of the People of God Himself,
And as a result of her hope and her voice,
She remains a female legend of the Lord herself.
Duchess Satine
Duchess of the planet of Mandalore,
She knew that the Clone Wars were only ruin,
So she stood for peace and pacifism,
In a galaxy of bloodthirsty warlords, all stupid.
Her commitment to peace made Mandalore prosper
Because of her own hope, courage and tongue,
And even in the face of the dark Death Watch,
She was always ready to be shot, stabbed or hung.
Yet despite the defeat of traitors Vizsla and Merrik,
Even darker evil sought to destroy her life,
And a dark warrior at last ended her goal,
And made her a martyr in a galaxy of strife.
Both Women
Two beautiful young women of peace,
Determined to save life from the darkness of hell,
One found success and prospered with her God,
The other was overwhelmed and passed on so well.
Legends of their time, both of them were,
Leaving a legacy of adoration and love,
Be it God or the Force that drove their wills,
Always will their presence be marked by a white dove.
