"Where are you taking me Seaweed Brain?" I laughed as Percy dragged me out of the car. "When will you tell me?"
"Soon," my adorable boyfriend promised.
He had covered my eyes with a blindfold and led me down a winding path, careful to make sure that the gray frock he had forced me into didn't get caught on the bushes. He had even suspiciously dressed up, wearing a dark blue colored shirt and jeans.
Soon the ground turned soft. Sand? It was impossible to tell with my sandals on. I tugged them off and felt the warm sand encase my feet. Confused, I tugged off my blindfold and gasped. We were standing in a beautiful beach, the water sparkling and cold. "Percy where are we?"
"Montauk Beach. This is where my mom met Poseidon and fell in love."
"So why are we here?" I said, suddenly suspicious.
I didn't know what I was expecting but I definitely didn't expect this. Percy smiled his beautiful smile and knelt on one knee, holding up a simple yet elegant silver ring with a glittering turquoise jewel. Inside was the inscription You're stuck with me forever. I laughed, my eyes filled with water.
"Annabeth Chase, I have loved you since the day we met. At the age of 12 you were my enemy. At age thirteen you were my best friend. At age fourteen you were my crush. At the age of fifteen you were my first kiss. And on my sixteenth birthday you became my girlfriend, my soulmate. We have held up the sky together and walked through hell with only each other. You are the love of my life and I will never, ever want anyone else. So Wisegirl, at age nineteen, will you make me the happiest demigod alive and be my wife?
I was freely crying then. "Yes you idiot, yes!"
I tackling him in a bear hug, slipped the ring on my finger when suddenly we heard hundreds of happy shouts. Camp Half-Blood had been hiding here, lead by the Aphrodite Cabin.
"How did you know?" Percy asked laughing, his sea green eyes filled with joy.
"Rachel! You should have seen her prophecy! The son of the Sea God will kneel on the ground, forever he and Wisdom will be bound, or something like that!" Lacy squealed, her pigtails flying everywhere.
And we stayed on that beach until the golden sun slipped below the sapphire waves.
