to have held you close
before you died,
was a miracle
in those fleeting
seconds before
you left me.
and now,
sitting here in
the darkest night,
i hear your voice
and cry when i
remember.
Hello again! Small spoilers warning for what I'll say, so if you haven't seen Volume Three of RWBY, then do go and see it. This is the second of three poems for the "Perfect Poetry" challenge I have on my writing competition forum (there's a link on my profile). This theme was sadness/angst, in which I challenged the writers to show me their skills in the second poem. In my mind, Jaune was completely distraught after Pyrrha died, thus we have a sense of longing and eternal sadness in this one.
I put this all in lower case to kind of demonstrate how down Jaune would have felt about losing Pyrrha. I don't care how many times people tell me, Arkos will always live on! I ship them so much, honestly. Feel free to tell me what you think of my work - I'd love to hear some feedback via reviews or PM's.
If you want to spectate or stick around for Season Two, then make sure to check out the forum!
Over and out!
