Hey I'm back again. With brand new story. Another challenge from The Percy Jackson Fanfiction Challenge. It's for kitty132383's The Letter Challenge. I hope you all enjoy it.
Annabeth paced her room in the Athena cabin as her sisters and brothers helped her get ready for her special day with Percy. She was happy and nervous. After all it wasn't everyday a girl married the sea weed brain of her dreams. She just wished her best friend and sister Thalia was there to celebrate with her.
Thalia had been called away from camp to help the Hunters. Annabeth knew that if it wasn't for that her friend would be there in a minute.
There was a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" called Annabeth.
Hermes popped his head into the room stating, "God in the room." He looked around disappointed. "Ah man," he said. "Everyones dressed."
Annabeth rolled her eyes at this. "What is so important that they sent the messenger God to find me?" she asked.
"Actually," he retrieved a letters from his back pocket, "this just came in for you. A letter. From Thalia. Why isn't she here anyway?"
"She had Hunter business to attend to." Annabeth took the letters. "Thank you Lord Hermes."
"No problem," said the god leaving the cabin.
"Come on Annabeth," said Gracie, one of Annabeth's younger siblings, "it's time to get married to Percy."
"I'll be there is a minute."
All the others left. Annabeth sat down on her bed for the last time as single lady. She took the envelope and opened the letter. Inside she looked at Thalia's writing. She had always been envious of Thalia's tidy scrawl. She slowly began to read.
Dear Annabeth,
If you're reading this right now I'm not with you. No I'm not dead. I'm off on Hunter business. But you probably already knew that one. And you probably already know I wish I was there with you.
I wish you the best of luck Annabeth. I really do. You and Percy are great together. I mean sometimes I feel jealous of you. That you found someone wonderful and who loves you more than anything. I thought I had that with Luke once upon a time. But I didn't.
Annabeth I'm glad you learned from my mistakes. I'm glad you didn't become a Hunter. That would have done more damage to you then it has done to me. I have my reasons for becoming an eternal maiden. You don't. You have Percy.
Tell him hello for me by the way.
Maybe one of these day you can tell Percy's and your kids all about your fun adventures with their younger Auntie Thalia. But first you have to get married. So get off your butt. Put this letter down and go do it.
I'll see you when I return Mrs. Jackson.
Your best friend and enternal sister
Thalia Grace.
Annabeth wiped a few tears away from her eyes as she read the letter. Thalia was being Thalia. But Annabeth understood why she wrote the letter. She smiled to herself.
"Annabeth come on," called Gracie again.
"One minute," called Annabeth.
She grabbed a pen and piece of paper and wrote a short letter back to Thalia.
Dear Thalia,
Thank you for being my friend.
Your best friend forever and enternity
Annabeth
P.S Percy says hi.
Annabeth quickly sealed her own envelope shut and then went out to get married. She had a huge smile on her face. Not just because of the wedding. But also because she had heard from her best friend.
The End.
I hope you all enjoyed.
