I DON'T OWN WIZARD101!

The New Master

I don't know what happened. It was just started. There were some portal thingy and some dude in odd robes that made him look like some. . . Merlin appeared. No one noticed him. He was staring at me intently. Then after the class ended, I tried leaving the classroom and suddenly I wasn't there anymore. I was in some dust-covered place. It looked old, ancient even. There were books that were flying! What books can fly?

Oddly enough, that was not the first thing that came to my mind. Nope, not even. It was the thought of lunch and the horrible thought of the fact I would be missing it.

I did not like missing any chance I could to eat.

The same old man appeared in front of me.

"Silas Drake, welcome to Ravenwood School of Magic. Your father would be very proud. Now, what school of magic do you want to become?" he told me. His eyes twinkled somewhat. It was at that moment he reminded me of Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter.

"Wha-What schools? What are you talking about? Who are you?"

"I am Merle Ambrose, Headmaster of this fine establishment. I forgot your father sent you to Earth after his wife passed. He was overcome with grief and. . . The schools are Life, Death, Myth, Storm, Fire, Ice, and Balance. Your Mother was a Life wizard and your Father a Death. What is your choice?"

In truth, I had no idea what he was talking about. I just kind of nodded along. Life seemed cool as did Death.

"I choose Death," I said with as much confidence as I could possibly muster; confidence which I didn't even know I had. He handed me an energy ball and I felt it sink beneath my skin. I suddenly felt a lot more. . . powerful. It wasn't something I would ever want to give up.

Then there was the sound of a crash. It was close but far away.

"Silas follow me. We must investigate!" the old man, Merle Ambrose told me as he led me through a door. My stomach grumbled slightly and I sighed. I would do whatever this crazy old man wanted to get to my prize, lunch.

Outside there was a tower, a very large tower, and then it started to rain mercilessly. My. . . robes were getting wet. Which confused me as I was wearing a T-shirt and jeans the last time I knew. What exactly did that man do to me? Oh well, it's not as if I'm going to be able to find them again, and I wasn't naked.

There was a large owl in a graduation cap outside in front of the large tower.

"Gamma, this is the new student, Silas Drake," the headmaster addressed the bird.

"It's been many years since we-oooo have seen him," Gamma replied looking at me with a curious look in his eye. Then he flew towards the door looking at it intently as he opened it with his mind, it seemed. I was impressed, even though I knew I shouldn't have been. I was in a magic school where birds talked, people wear robes and I am the only sane person around. Lucky me!

I didn't get lucky enough to avoid getting into the tower. The crazy old man opened the door and then motioned for me to come inside. My stomach growled which reminded me that to maybe get lunch, I would need to follow the man.

There was a room, where there were wooden golems, they let the man pass and seemed to be assessing me. They let me pass. The next few rooms were the same way, which made me wonder about the security of this place. When I reached the top there was a man. A man that looked very much like me, except my hair was a strawberry blond, and I had much softer features, but the resemblance was still very startling.

"Malistaire!"

"Ambrose," the man practically growled. I was terrified, I wasn't sure what to do. Then he softened slightly when he looked at me.

"It's been so long. . . Minions, take the boy!"

There were the short withering snaps of a leathery sound. It sounded almost like I thought a dragon one sound when it would fly. The window on the far side of the room shattered. The multicolored glass was now thrown across the floor nearly missing me.

I tried my best to seem strong. But I didn't get much of a choice. Malistaire cast a stunning spell and everything suddenly became fuzzy.

What do you think? Should I continue or leave this as a one shot.
