Disclaimer: I do not own Miraculous.
So fanfiction doesn't know what stanzas are, apparently.
The stanzas are meant to be 6 lines long each, but I can't figure out a way for it to save with the breaks.
It was a tragic night
One that many would regret.
It all started with this girl named Marinette
With a selfless heart and justice filled sight.
No one knew what would come
No one knew what should have been done.
It ricocheted like a shot
In the dark Parisian night.
The streets ran red. It couldn't be right.
On the cobbles and concrete
It flowed like a stream, between cracks to meet.
She wasn't her heroine, but she fought.
That girl named Marinette…
She saved a life that day.
Being who she was, her own way.
Yet something was lost
Few realized the full cost
But after that day, few would forget.
No more did they see their beloved friend
Never again could see her smile
Feel her warmth or appreciate her style.
So many people were left
With unresolved feelings, feeling bereft.
At first, they didn't know that their hero had met her end.
Many knew who she was.
Now that it was after her death,
It wasn't hard to find the lost breath
The one who wore red and black so elegantly
Had been painted in her colors unintelligibly.
That day no one cared for the laws.
It was justice they sought out.
To find the truth
To set it right.
To turn back the clocks
And bring back what had been cruelly stripped away.
Yet, reality is not a fairy tale.
They found the truth.
They found justice.
Yet, the skies never saw red and black again.
All that was left was bad luck
And a few tricks.
Rage, fear and unimaginable grief.
No one knew…
How could they?
It wasn't right
Or healthy,
But they blamed themselves.
They couldn't help it.
Now Paris knows
That their heroes
Are simply human
They can break
They can fall.
One did.
The truth hurts
The grief stings
Memories are triggered
By a laugh, an empty seat
A simple color, a familiar smell
An umbrella.
It was a girl named Marinette.
She didn't deserve this,
No one did.
Now I can't forget her
About what I lost,
Forever.
A/N: I wrote this instead of an annotated bibliography that was due an hour ago... It popped into my head and I had to write it down.
