The perfect compliment
Sequel to the Perfect come-on
'No one better have sat on my seat' thought Sasuke irritated. He hated school field trips what where they in elementary? He thought sarcastically. 'What the hell is a junior, in high school, doing messing around with the buddy system? The same god damn system kindergartens use, it's ridiculous.'
Well whatever, better than staying in class, he supposed, but still if he could just sit without a harpy wailing in his ear, or trying to talk his face off. He swore some days …
He sat in the last seats of the back and laid his legs across the seat next to his. Some girls knew better than to ask. It was after all, a well-known fact that when Sasuke is pissed off he is painfully honest with malice intent or plainly put blunt.
But still the world holds dreamers. "Hey Sasuke," Sakura gave a fresh smile. "Can I sit with you?"
The atoms around Sasuke went still. "No"
"Oh come-on, Sasuke-kun, don't act like a stranger we've known each other since we were little," Sakura swept strands of her hair behind her ear.
Sasuke sighed, "This is why I don't like to come to these stupid trips," he stood up, "See you later I'm leaving."
"No!" Sakura answered alarmed. "It's cool, I'll just sit right here instead," she smiled and sat right across him.
He rolled his eyes and sat down again. 'Where was she?' He looked to see the other students bustling in. 'Oh great here comes the dobe'
"Hey Sasuke-teme! Cool thanks for saving me a spot!" he said pushing off his legs from the bus seat. "Hey Sakura-chan!"
"Oh for the love of … Naruto! Can't you see me and Sasuke were talking and here you come and interrupt us!"
'She was talking to me?' Sasuke tried to remember.
"Aww Sakura-chan why are you always so angry? You look beautiful when you smile"
Sakura stayed speechless. 'Was he stupid? He was embarrassing her in front of Sasuke.'
"Naruto", Sakura began exasperated, "you better thank the divine powers from above that I don't want Sasuke to see how I can distort your face or else I would."
Naruto gave a 'thumbs up' to Sasuke, who wanted to smack his forehead. 'It's a damn shame,' he thought. 'Fuck this, I'm done'
"Sakura" Sasuke called her. She looked up at him as if Jesus came down from the heavens and was talking to her personally; completely stupefied.
Sasuke stood up, "Come here." She did "Sit" She did. "Catch you guys later."
Sakura was too busy looking after him with love filled eyes to notice he left her sitting next to Naruto.
Sasuke was about to leave the bus until he caught a certain bluenette. "Here you are," he smiled at her.
She looked up from her book her dark eyelashes beautifully framing her grey eyes. "Oh… hey," she whispered back, giving him a small smile.
"Can I have this seat?" Sasuke asked the random student sitting next to Hinata. Sasuke being the popular guy he is had perks, of course the student moved. "Thanks."
"Why do you sit in the front of the bus anyway?"
Hinata blinked. "Be-cause i-if you s-sit in the f-front you'll be t-the first one t-to get off…"she explained slowly.
Sasuke blinked and nodded. "I'll never underestimate you again"
She giggled.
"Do you have a buddy?"
Hinata glanced at him confused.
"For the field trip I mean."
"N-no"
"Want to be my buddy?" He smirked.
Hinata smiled, "Su-sure."
Sasuke slipped his fingers between the spaces of hers.
She blushed and tried to wiggle her hand back but there was no use.
"Sa-Sasuke-san can I have my-my hand back plea-please?"
Was it her mission to make him want to nose bleed? "Nope you might get lost, as your buddy it's my duty to take care of you," he said with a straight face.
"I- bu-but I can't get lost in the bu-bus"
"I'm not taking any chances"
'So maybe field trips and buddy systems aren't so bad after-all.'
R&R thanks!
