Italics: Lucy's thoughts
Bold: Natsu's note
Light shined through Lucy's window as she woke up. Stretching her arms as she breathed in the morning air, Lucy thought about the day ahead of her. She knew that today was going to be a special day; it was the two year anniversary of the day Fairy Tail and the other guilds in Fiore won the war with Alvarez. Knowing Fairy Tail, there's probably going to be a party. Lucy thought while letting a soft giggle escape.
Lucy pulled the covers off of her and stood up while thinking about what to wear. Lost in thought, she slumped into her kitchen and found a note waiting for her on the fridge. Lucy quickly noticed Natsu's handwriting. Not again. She sighed, already knowing what the note was going to say.
She began to read the note:
Hiya, Lucy! Sorry about the food. Please don't tell Erza! Anyways, I have something I need to tell you when you get to the guild. So hurry up and get over here! -Natsu
Sure enough, when Lucy opened the door to her refrigerator, it was almost empty. "I'm going to kill him." Lucy mumbled with a murderous aura surrounding her. I'll just eat at the guild instead…
"You don't have the guts."
"I'm going to do it when she comes!"
"You won't."
"I will!"
Despite the party being thrown, not everyone was celebrating. No one was surprised though, after all, it is the Fairy Tail guild. Natsu and Gray couldn't go one day without being at each other's throats. However, the fighting became short-lived when a certain blonde-haired mage walked through the guild doors.
The two boys became silent. "Well." Gray whispered while nudging Natsu in the side.
"I'm going." Natsu grumbled back while walking towards Lucy. She saw him coming and turned her head towards him, an angry expression shown on her face.
"You ate all my food!" Lucy yelled. "Again!" Natsu rubbed the back of his head, trying to think of something to say.
"I didn't eat it, I just moved it." He said.
"Moved it?" Lucy asked. "To where? Why?"
"Well I was hoping you would come over to my place after the party, but I didn't have any food besides Happy's fish." Natsu explained.
"I had a ton of food in there! We're not going to eat it all in one night! Not even you could do that." She exclaimed.
"Not for just one night. For several." Natsu said. Lucy's face changed from a look of anger to a look of confusion. They see each other every day at the guild, and Natsu admitted to liking Lucy's house better, so why would he want her to stay with him?
"Why?" Was all she could manage to say.
"Because I-" Natsu paused and looked at his guild mates behind him. Their expressions were almost urging him. Say it. Say it. "Because I want you to move in with me!" He shouted. "Because I love you!"
Lucy gasped. Did he really just say that? In front of the whole guild, for everyone to hear? She smiled and grabbed Natsu's hand softly. "Okay." She said with a nod. She dropped his hand and took a couple steps back. With her hands cupped around her mouth, she did her best to match Natsu's volume. "I love you too!" She screamed.
The entire guild erupted into applause. Lucy could see Gray whispering something into Erza's ear, she wondered what it was but decided it didn't matter. She was happy, and that was all that mattered.
