"no, I hate you.", Lee said then left with his mother.

That hurt more then it should have. It's not like he hasn't heard it before, but this, this is different he was nothing but kind to these people. With a sigh he got up and was about to leave.

When he read the knife again, and went off after lee and his mother. By time he caught up to them, they were on a deserted road, about half way to there house.

"hey.", Zuko shouts when he gets close enough.

Lee's mom puts Lee behind her again "Not a step closer" she repeats.

"Whats your problem.", Zuko nearly yells. "I left you wanted me to come back. you were crying asking me to help your son. I did your son is safe, thanks to me. when you didn't know who I was you invited me in to your home, you let me stay in you barn." he looks at Lee. "I taught you how to use my swords, I only did what I had to to protect you. so tell me why do you hate me?"

"your fire nation, the fire nation took a peace of are family away. And not just any one from the fire nation, there prince."Lee's mother said with discuss in her voice.

that's not fair your jugging me for where I was born and who my family is I can' t change that but if you would judge me for who I am you wouldn't feel the need to hide Lee behind your back."

Zuko could tell she was just looking for a reason now. Lee was just looking stunned.

"but your still the fire prince." she said looking like that's reason enough to hate you.

Zuko replies quickly "yes and if it was up to me this war would be over."

now they both were speechless.

"and just one more thing just remember, not all earth nation is good not all fire nation is bad. ooh and by the way the fire nation would never do that."

"do what?" Lee's mother asks.

"the fire nation would never dress your brother up in fire a nation uniform, your brother is probably on his way to a fire nation prison."

Zuko tossed the knife to lee, "here, I still think you should have it. thank you, for you hospitality."

he gives them a little nod. he starts to walk away, till he hears "hey hold on"

he turns around to see lee running toward him holding the knife. "thanks.", lee said. "for every thing.", and runs back to his mom who nods to Zuko. lee and his mom head home.

Zuko wishes for a moment that he could go home with his mom. he shakes his head, it just wasn't meant to be.
