This is a special tribute to my dog Brandi; please take a moment of silence
Brandi 1995-2011
I knew her my whole life and I wrote this in honor of her, and everyone who ever lost a pet, while at the same time putting Wally and Kuki together.
Leave a review if you have lost a pet and still love them to pieces even though they have passed.
I don't own KND
"Where is she?" He asked with a cold sweat running down his face
"Still at her house I think, she's pretty devastated" Hoagie P. Gilligan shrugged. Wally dash around the chubby American and out the tree house door
Dashing down the sidewalk desperately trying to find Kuki's house, he felt the summer suns warmth on him like being trapped in a green house, he was waged down by his hoody and the and his own sweat but pressed on.
Turning the corner he spotted the Sanban's house, he didn't waste a second jogging up to the front door, practically 100 miles per hour.
He banged a few times, hard.
"Hello?" Mushi answered the door
"Mushi…." He panted, more out of breath then he had ever been "I….need…..to talk….to Kuki"
"Okay" she smiled and opened the door. Wally zoomed past her knocking Mushi to the ground, he didn't stop to apologize, and right now he wouldn't stop for anything.
He had only been in Kuki's room a few times, none of which her father knows about, but this time he didn't care if he was home, no one was going to stop him from seeing her.
He stood frozen outside her white door. She was sobbing loudly.
"Err….Kooks?" he knocked on the door only a tap but it opened and revealed Kuki Sanban crying into her pillow.
"W-wally?" she looked up, then signaled him to come in.
He stepped over countless rainbow monkeys that had been thrown around the room.
"How….are you?" he asked already sure of the answer
Kuki's loud sobs answered his question. He sat down on the bed next to her, putting his hand on her shoulder.
"Do you want to talk…about it?" he asked in a whisper
"Brandi died, Wally she was with me my whole life, and now….SHE'S GONE!" Kuki went back to sobbing into her pillow.
"I know Kuki, I loved Brandi too, but she's in a better place now…you'll see"
"I know Wally, she had been sick the last few days, she has arthritis so she couldn't stop lying on the floor, and she stopped eating and kept throwing up."
"She was an old dog Kooks, most dogs live to be 14, she lived a full life…"
"I love her so much Wally, she was supposed to get better, I thought….i was sure…..she would"
"It's okay Kooks…."
"Wally why are you here?" Kuki asked "I mean you never care about me, why now?"
"Kooks, I do….err….care about you and Brandi was like a pet to me too, I used to dog sit her when you went to camp, or on vacation. I love that dog almost as much as I love-" he stopped talking realizing what he was about to say.
"As much as whom?" Kuki asked
"uh….my mom, anyway I want to help plan a funeral, I think we should bury her behind her favorite tree in my backyard, that way you can visit her whenever you want, that's where my dad buried his dog before I was born"
"Thanks Wally" she sniffled and kissed his cheek.
That's where I buried Brandi (not in the cartoon world silly) where my dad buried all his dogs when he was a kid.
Brandi will be dearly missed. ( drew a tribute picture for her on deviant art if you want to see it search for my username.)
