Who actually reads this? This is an AU, where it actually snows in Venice, California (mwhahahah) Again otpprompts,
It was the middle of winter, and it was FREEZING. At home was Johnny Cage and his fiancé Sonya Blade (A/N I decided to change it up…). Johnny's heat was on, but not on high, which disappointed Sonya as she could not handle any form of cold at all. Even though she was in the military, and had been through hell, her biggest non-harmful enemy was the cold. Johnny always teased her about it, on how she saved the world and couldn't stand the cold. Her reply had always been, "But it's cold" She had been working longer hours than usual, so Johnny went to shower first. When she got home Johnny was still in the shower, so she just decided to get dressed instead of jumping around to gain body heat. She decided to get dressed in black sweat pants, her favourite slippers, one of Johnny's shirts and a grey hoodie. She was significantly warmer, but she still wanted to warm up in a shower. She heard the door open behind her and Johnny walking in. Him in grey sweatpants (hehehe) , and a white hoodie. She went to hug him. He hugged her back tighter than ever, knowing that she was cold.(here, she is at least a head shorter than Johnny). When he let go, she didn't.
"Babe?"
"Yeah Johnny?"
"You're kind of crushing me" he said, with a smile
"Sorry, I'm so cold and you are so warm" she said, burying her head further into the crook of his neck.
"Just checking"
Confused, she looked up to see Johnny smiling.
"Johnny what are you doing?" obviously displeased at his cheeky smile.
"Something" he replied
He bent down, grabbed her thighs and pulled her up into a piggy back, but she was sitting on his front, rather than normally on his back.
"Is this fine?" he said cheekily
"MmmHmm" she murmured
He walked across the hall and got a blanket out of the closet. Since he lived in a 3- story condo , he went downstairs and turned the heat up, and rubbed Sonya's back a little. He reached up and got some choc chip cookies. They walked over to the loveseat facing the sea. He sat her down in his lap with the blanket over them. He opened the packet of cookies. "Why whenever I'm cold you give me these specific cookies" she asked
" When I was little, whenever I needed to feel better, I ate these cookies" he said
"But why do I need to feel better?"
"I could turn down heat, and take the blanket…" he stated monotonously.
"NO" She exclaimed
"I would never" he smiled. He kissed her forehead
She cuddled him tighter than ever. To think, at the tournament, she couldn't stand him. Now she could never imagine a day without him. They were both looking at the sea accompanied by the overcast weather. Johnny reached over and put his Iphone on the docking station (something like a stereo for phones). Sonya saw the playlist, and its title was: Sonya's playlist. It also had the heart emoji's next to it. She didn't know why, but it made her so happy. Can't help falling in love by Elvis started playing. They listened to it playing softly in the backround.
"I love you" said Johnny
"I love you too" she sighed.
And just like that they both fell asleep…
