Family:
Family. The most important group of people in a man's life. None stand higher. To others a man's family is to be respected. Respect is worth more than its weight in gold. All is at peace when this order is intact. Only when this line is crossed, does there need to be bloodshed. Its not a pretty sight, but lessons must be learnt. Do not start conflicts you cannot resolve. People jump out of their cars and yell and fight. People live for the smell of blood on their hands. These people run around in the world shouting " Kill me, kill me" and there is always someone ready to oblige them. Be wise enough to endure life and not become a Mouk.
Not all families are blood related though. When a group of individuals create a camaraderie that protects each other. La Cosa Nostra is the true name of this organization. This thing of ours is the English translation of this Italian phrase. It signifies a bond between men. These men either were raised in the same vicinity, or came into each other lives due to a special event. These are men of honor, but when provoked, they will become corrupt and extort business owners. They make threats of danger and the need of security. They say the gangs around will harm stores. Men are then sent to protect these stores, but if protection is not paid, they are required to show why it is needed. Men become dangerous when money steps into the picture and does a little dance. Money can buy anything. It can help save a life, or end it. It can bring shelter and salvation, or loneliness and damnation.
This is what fuels families. Memories of the good, but in the shadows lies the evil. When called upon, a man must step up or fall down. In a family we rely on each other. This is my family and I know What Matters Most.
