Hey, y'all. This is just a random snippet I came up with today. It's based off a dream I had last night. My friends liked it and told me I should post it, so I will. Just remember I am not Lauren Brooke.

Life is Good

Excitement was coursing through Amy as she dialed her sister's phone number. She listened to it ring, her heart falling with each one, before she finally heard a click of someone eventually picking it up.

"Hi, person."

Amy grinned when the voice of her two-and-a-half-year-old niece, Holly, came through the line.

"Well, hey there," she answered, shooting a grin over to Ty, who was sitting at the kitchen table, "Is your Mommy or Daddy there? It's Auntie Amy."

"No…."

"No? Where are they?"

"I no know."

"Holly!" Amy heard Lou in the background, "Who are you talking to?"

"Ay-nee."

"Amy? Can I talk to her? Thank you," there was a pause as Lou got the phone from her daughter, "Hello."

"I see you have a secretary now," Amy joked.

"Yeah," Lou said, and the sound of a giggling child could be heard in the background, "She won't talk on a toy phone, but give her a real one and she loves it. We've finally figured out to take the batteries out of an old cordless one and give that to her. She has a ball with it."

"I'll bet," Amy said, subconsciously placing a hand over her stomach, "but I do have an ulterior motive for calling."

"Yes?" Lou asked when Amy paused to take a deep breath.

"I'm pregnant," she said and her sister gave a very un-Lou-ish squeal.

"Congratulations! When are you due?"
"November 9."

"Wow. Me and Scott have been trying for another one, but no luck so far."

"Is that why it took you so long to get to the phone?" Amy asked, not being at all serious. That is, until her sister didn't answer, "Lou!"

"What!" Lou defended desperately, "Holly was asleep! She must have crawled out of her crib by herself…. Oh, be quiet, Scott!"

Amy could hear her brother-in-law laughing followed by the sound of what was undoubtedly one of Holly's toys being thrown across the room. Amy couldn't help but laugh as well.

"Hey!" she heard Scott yell, "There's a child in the room. Watch your arm and your mouth."

Lou sighed loudly before turning back to Amy.

"I have to go kill my husband. Talk to you later."

"Have fun. Bye."

Amy replaced the receiver back on the telephone, still giggling as Ty raised his eyebrows.

"She's busy," Amy simply said, opening the refrigerator and digging around in it.

"I don't want to know," Ty decided, getting up and heading to the other room. Amy heard him say something else along the lines of, "I've heard too much already…."

This was enough to set off Amy's spiel of giggles once more. She took a bite of her apple and decided that life is good.

Okay, just to clear some things up, Amy and Ty are married. Heather and Will do not exist, and even if they did, I would have strangled them and made them burn in h. Have a nice day. R and R please!
