Raphael, Brandi's Secret Hero

Summary: Raphael stumbles across Brandi's secret. This is the missing scene between "To Serge with Love" and "Stan by Me."

Disclaimer: I do not own In Plain Sight or any of the show's characters.

Raphael was debating whether to call Mary or not. After Brandi had fallen asleep from pure exhaustion after spending two hours crying her fears, Mary walked in and saw them. As Mary looked at them, Raphael could tell that she believed something happened between them.

Raphael gently lifted Brandi's head off his lap and got up. He needed a drink before attempting to talk with Mary. He loved her, but Mary was rash, irrational, and harsh when she became angry.

"Shit!" Raphael murmured as he tripped over Brandi's blue suitcase. As he slowly got up, Raphael looked over to see if Brandi woke up. Satisfied that she didn't, Raphael proceeded to move the suitcase closer to the wall. As he was doing so, Raphael noticed a fine, white powder on the carpet. Curious, he opened the suitcase.

"Dios Mio!" Raphael stared at the bags of crystal meth. He now fully understood why Brandi was scared. Not only did she believe that her relationship with Mary was over but her boyfriend, Chuck, got her mixed up with drug trafficking.

He had to help her! As he thought about how to get rid of the drugs, Raphael remembered his favor to Matt. The Albuquerque Baseball Stadium's manager wanted to spend time with his newborn child and had asked Raphael to sign off on the delivery of chalk arriving the following morning.

Smiling, Raphael quickly got his duffle bag from the closet. He quickly filled the duffle bag with the drugs, and then replaced it back into the closet. Noticing the white residue in Brandi's suitcase, Raphael carried the bag to the bathroom. There he rinsed and dried the bag. Noticing that the bag was still damp, Raphael placed several towels into it.

After Raphael replaced Brandi's bag by the wall, he went back to the couch. As he sat there, Raphael looked at the sleeping Brandi and smiled. Quietly he said, "You now have nothing to worry about. You are now out of danger and the drugs will be put to a better use."
