A/N: You guys know the drill I don't own these characters…blah blah blah…. all work
of J.K Rowling etc etc, lets not bother with all that.
Also R+R guys R+R!
P.S just thought of this coming home from school, I doubt the plot is truly original but I
categorically stat that this is all my own work and any resemblance to any other stories is
purely coincidental. Promise!
When that day comes.
They say love can conquer all, well they we were right she guessed, her and Draco were
together, they'd defied the odds and they were together. But that had come at a cost,
Lucius Malfoy was not the kind to forgive his son running off with a mudblood and they
lived everyday in fear of people knocking at the door. Lived everyday dreading the call
from Harry, who was now headmaster at Hogwarts that told them Malfoy had finally
gotten to his granddaughter.
She sat there at the table in their grubby little kitchen in their
grubby little home and relived the night they left everything behind to be with each other.
They'd been in their final year at Hogwarts, the same year they fell in love, they eloped
in typical muggle fashion to Gretna Green and were married at 11.56pm on the 23rd
October, but even as she smiled reliving memories of that night she could not help but
wonder if it all had been worth it, of course she loved Draco, always had, always would,
but was their love worth all they had given up?
Neither of them had dared return to
Hogwarts fearing it would be the first place Lucius would come looking for them and
consequently Hermionie had to give up on her dreams of becoming a healer and resign
herself to taking low paid muggle work where she could find it, Draco unable to
complete the lowliest muggle task did whatever he could in the magical community,
however it was dangerous, his father had connections everywhere and everything the 2
of them did in public was a danger.
In reality the day they had become Mr. and Mrs. D
Malfoy they had ended all hope of any kind of life at all. Hermionie had always thought
that a life with the man she loved would be happy but she soon realized whilst trying to
raise their beautiful baby girl that love can't put food on the table or clothes on their
daughter's back.
She came to realize that this must have been what life was like for Mrs.
Weasley and this only made her respect the elder woman more, in fact the only time she
left the house anymore was for her weekly lunch date with the now elderly lady, mostly
because the Weasley family were the only people she completely trusted, however the
other reason is one she didn't even like to admit to herself. She envied them. She
sometimes allowed herself a little daydream to imagine what life would have been like if
she had married Ron, Sunday lunch at the Burrow, Christmas with the Weasleys, Charlie
and his wife, Bill, Percy and his wife and children, Fred and George and of course
Ginny.
Hermionie smiled, but no, she had made her bed she had to lie in it, and besides
she knew she had never really loved Ron, not really, her heat didn't race at the sound of
his voice and she didn't go weak at the knees when he hugged her or any of the things
that she felt for her husband.
Yes, what the had done was right but one day they would be
found, the day that they dreaded would come and it would be sooner rather than later, and
the sad thing was that when that day comes she will be ready to go, ready to leave all the pain behind.
A/N: Awwwww how sad, lol and believe it or not this is me in the mood for some
