A/N: A small blurb that hit me while I was listening to Kristell's theme, The Bell That Never Tolls. So I wrote this.
Another day ended, the warm Erinn sun going down, shining on the face of Dunbarton's priestess Kristell. Lightly sighing, she closes her bible, and goes to put the chickens in their coop.
All the chickens safe, she looks up at the church. The very top, in the pyre…
The bell that never tolls.
Just like her, she thought. Just like Nao. The bell signifying peace, yet never herself to do anything. Trapped in her small in-between world.
She saw her in a dream once.
"Why," Kristell said. "Do you always linger in your little realm? Erinn has so much more." She just smiled quietly.
"That is the price I pay for passing people through."
"And you're not lonely?"
"No…I always see smiling faces every day."
Kristell chuckled slightly. Ridiculous. She looked up to the now starry, black sky.
"Nao…"
A/N: It would've made more sense for Kristell to identify herself as the bell, which I tried, but made her seem depressed. So this happened.
