Disclaimer: Let's be honest. We all want to own this show, but we don't.
This is inspired partly with my own angst, because I am very confused about someone. So, I write out my emotions.

He broke up with her.
He said those words so simply, when he announced them to Toph.
She wasn't surprised. He told her he had been trying to break up with Sweetness. She had helped him rehearse what he would say, because, even though she had no past relationships, she was the expert.("Okay, this is what you're supposed to say!").
She didn't prepare him for what would happen. Sugar Queen was the first one to dump him. She expected him to start crying, or bawling, something that would make him run to her for comfort.(Because, secretly, she knows that she likes telling him to get up and stop feeling sorry for himself)
She was baffled by how well the pair took the breakup. There was no Sugar Queen moping around, no crybaby Twinkletoes.
She knew she liked him. She accepted that fact when she was thirteen. She tried, oh spirits, she tried to deny it. She felt an ache in her heart whenever she saw them together.
It hurts to like him. Because, she isn't perfect. She couldn't be a perfect woman to him. How could she, when she had to measure up to his girlfriend?
She attempts to push the hope welling in her chest down. It's so hard to like someone, especially if they're one of your best friends.
Because, it's so hard to stop blushing when he's around.
Is she really just one of his friends?
She wants so much to be more than that, but she says nothing.
She lets him sit beside her, silently giving comfort.
Actions always speak louder than words.
She's patient. She'll wait. She'll wait till they're 40, if necessary. Twinkletoes, for all his silence, needs time to heal.
The least she can do is sit beside him, listening to the turtleducks splashing around.
She doesn't know if this strange feeling is love. It's like she's floating, and it makes her wonder if this is what it's like to be drunk.
Fourteen is really too soon to know whether or not she'll be with him forever.
For now, this will do. They can pretend that they're normal teenagers.
Who knows, maybe, just maybe, if she kisses him, he'll kiss back.
