AN: I know everyone's waiting for me to update my other stories and I promise I will, but this is a birthday present for a friend of mine. I swear I'll get everything updated! In the meantime – Happy Birthday Arcanix Oregame! Hope this is close to what you wanted.

Disclaimer: I own nothing but my plot and Wisteria.

Mr. Malfoy,

I'm sure I'm the last person you expected to get a letter from and I'm honestly not sure you'll even help me, but you're my last hope. Everyone thinks Harry and I grew up treated like royalty, but we weren't. We spent ten years in a cupboard under the stairs because our muggle relatives hate magic and everything to do with it. We were treated worse than house elves, forced to clean and cook for our relatives while we were given mere scraps. The only clothes we were given were our cousin's hand-me-downs and some of our mother's old clothes. We were given a list of chores to have done by the time our uncle came home from work or we would be punished. If we burnt whatever meal we were cooking or did anything 'freakish' we were punished. I'm tired of being punished – of watching my brother take beatings for me and trying desperately afterwards to keep him from bleeding out. I just hope sending you this letter isn't going to trap us in a worse hell than the one we're already in.

Hopefully yours,

Wisteria Potter

Lucius read the letter for a third time in a state of stunned disbelief. How could Dumbledore not know about this? How could he allow two children to be treated as such? He had assured them all repeatedly that the Potter children were safe. He frowned to himself. And what did the child mean by 'trapping them in a worse hell than the one they were in' by contacting him? She didn't honestly believe that he would hurt them, did she? He sighed. Of course she did. With what she had likely heard about him from the Weasleys and the way she and her brother had been treated by those muggles, what else would she expect? He pinched the bridge of his nose and heaved a heavy sigh. He needed to speak to his wife.
