Prologue

"Oh my God." said Koenma.

"What is it?" asked Botan.

"There has been a huge amount of you-ki gathered in all the major cities of the world."

"What?"

"You heard me. We need to get a new spirit detective and fast."

"But there haven't been people with enough ki since Yusuke died."

"That's why we need a demon. In Tokyo there is a street urchin who is very young but has enough power to do this job."

"But if he's a demon then how do we know that he's not part of the hoard that just came here."

"Because he's Yusukes son. So Botan I need you to go to Tokyo and get that kid."

"Gotcha."

Botan flew out to Tokyo in search of this kid. She thought that the demons would be more discreet about what they were doing but they were everywhere. She even saw a few get hit by cars.

Then Botan sensed that kids huge you-ki. It was s-class at least. This may even fix all the humans physical problems as well as spiritual. She landed in front of the alley where she sensed him. She walked in saying calming things and making sure he knew that she wouldn't hurt him.

Then a deep, monstrous voice said "You couldn't hurt me if you tried buttercup."

Botan looked to see that it wasn't the kid that she had sensed it was one of the invaders. It pounced to her and she swung her oar and hit it in the face. But that just made him angry. She ran out of the alleyway and into 2 more demons but only d class. She channeled some rei-ki into her oar and smacked them in the face. She ran into the streets and almost made it onto her oar but the first demon tackled her from behind. She tried to break free from the demon but couldn't. As the demon was about to eat her head she thought "This is it, I'm not gunna make it." As he opened his mouth as wide as it could go, they heard "FINGER BANG!" And a blast of you-ki smacked the demon in the face thus killing it.

"Are you ok." A small voice said.

"Yeah I'm fine." She replied. "Are you Yusukes son?"

"Who-suke?"

"Oh right orphan. I have to take you to the rei-kai to keep you safe."

"The what?"

"I'll explain on the way."

Botan put him up on the oar and flew up into the spirit world.

"What is this place?" asked the kid/demon.

"It's the rei-kai. This is where people go when they die. But don't freak out, you'll only work here possibly. Now see that castle in front of us? That's where the ruler of the spirit world Koenma lives and does business with some… let's just call them entities."

They came to the front gates and heard "What's the password?"

"Oh shut up it's me, Botan." Botan said.

"Fine then." Said the entity, sounding fake offended.

Botan and the kid walked into the building. They walked down the hall and onto a strange pad at the end.

"Hold on tight." Botan said as they teleported to Koenmas office.

"Hello." Said Koenma.

"I have to talk to a baby?" the kid/demon asked

This of course pissed Koenma off big time but he went on telling the boy about the rei-ki and ma-kai and his mission and stuff.

"And if I refuse?" the demon asked

"Then the whole world comes to an end." Koenma replied

"O.k. that's pretty convincing when do I start."
