Some of the Dialogue is from the song "Do You Wana Build a Snowman?" from the Disney movie Frozen. This story was inspired by the song "Do You Wana Build a Snowman?"
Ever since their mother was killed, Sokka had been feeling upset and sad. But before his father left for the war, he would help to keep the two kids mind`s off their mother. But now that their father is gone, all Sokka has been thinking about is his mother and his father. He felt alone and unwanted. He didn't understand why his father had to leave when there were other soldiers to fight. He also couldn't understand why someone would hurt his mother. For the past few weeks Sokka would rarely come out of their Igloo, he only came out to eat and do chores.
Katara walked into the igloo and knocked on the wall. Sokka was laying on the floor his back toward Katara.
"Sokka, Do you wana build a snowman? Come on let's go and play. I never see you anymore, come out the door, It's like you've gone away. We used to be best buddies and now we're not. Sokka I know your upset but….I just-"
"Go away, Katara!" Sokka yelled.
Katara ran out of the igloo and outside to play in the snow by herself.
"Katara, Where is Sokka?" Gran Gran asked seeing Katara playing alone once again.
"He doesn't want to play with me. He never wants to play anymore. Why won't he play? He`s the only person I have left beside you, Gran Gran. I feel like I'm losing him too. I`m upset about mom and dad too, but I'm trying not to…. think about it."
"He`ll come around. Trust me. Everyone deals with things like this differently. "
The next day goes to Sokka again.
"Do you wana build a snowman or go penguin surfing around town? I think some company is overdue, I've started talking to the animals. It gets a little lonely just watching the hours tick by."
Sokka stood up and walked toward Katara.
"Leave me alone! I don't want to play!" Sokka yelled. "I want to be left alone! How could you just act as if nothing happened!? As if they never existed!? Mom was killed and Dad may be too fighting in this war!"
Katara started to cry and ran out of the igloo.
Sokka walked to the entrance of the igloo and watched as Katara ran to Gran Gran crying. Gran Gran talked to her, trying to calm her down. Sokka walked back into the igloo.
"Of course I want to build a snowman…." Sokka said more to himself. "And run around and dance and play. But things just haven't been the same….. I just don't feel the way I used to anymore. I know your feeling lonely, I am too. It must be tough on your own. Of course I want to build a snowman. ….we should build a snowman."
Sokka put on his coat and snow gear. He walked out of the igloo. Katara was still crying in Gran Gran`s arms. He walked over to Katara and Gran Gran. He put his hand on Katara`s shoulder.
"Do you wana build a snowman?" Sokka asked smiling at Katara.
Katara looked at Sokka, her eyes flowing with tears.
"What?"
"Come on let's build a snowman. Just you and me, like we used to as kids."
Katara smiled back and hugged her brother.
