The summer sun gently kissed Nagisa's cheek as he was lying down in the grass cloud gazing.
"It's such a beautiful day.." he commented to himself. "Too bad none of the others could take a moment out of their busy schedules to cloud watch!" He sighed and continued to gaze at clouds.
That is, until he heard the sound of sobbing. Alarmed, he got up and looked around, trying to locate the sound. His eyes widened as he saw a small blonde run out of the woods with tears streaming down his face.
"H-hey, what's wrong?" cried out Nagisa as he ran towards him. The other blonde's eyes widened in surprise as he saw Nagisa and looked the other way.
"S-sorry, I didn't know you were here, I- I can just leave an-" stuttered the blonde. Nagisa pouted and shook his head.
"No! You're sad and I don't like when people are sad! What's wrong?"
The other blonde sniffled and more tears began to fall down his face.
"S-Sebastian kun finally had enough of me and threw me out. I'm fired! I don't have a job and I screwed everything up and- and I feel pretty much worthless!" he sobbed. Nagisa frowned before sitting down in the grass, which caused the crying boy to stop for a moment wondering what he was doing.
Nagisa patted the grass next to him. "Hey, have a seat."
Startled, the blonde nodded and sat down. Nagisa then laid down in the grass and smiled.
"Lay down and tell me what that cloud reminds you of," instructed Nagisa. The blonde laid down and looked up the sky.
"I- I just see a bunch of fluffy clouds," he mumbled. Nagisa giggled.
"I think that one over there looks like a bunny!" pointed out Nagisa. The other blonde looked where he was pointing and gasped. It did kinda look like a bunny!
Unable to stop himself, a small giggle rose out of his mouth. Nagisa grinned.
"Cloud watching is so much fun! I'm glad you like it so much. Hey, what's your name?"
The other blonde rolled over to face Nagisa.
"M-my name is Finni," he said quietly. Nagisa reached over and wiped a tear away from his eye.
"Well, Finni, you're really cute, and any meany butt who doesn't think you're worth the world doesn't know what he's missing!" he declared, causing Finni to blush furiously.
"E-eh? You think I'm cute?" he said in surprise. Nagisa nodded.
"Uh huh! You got the prettiest eyes in the world! And the prettiest smile," he said with a wink. Finni's eyes widened as he felt his whole face turn red. He promptly rolled back on his back and tried to slow his beating heart down.
Nagisa gently placed his hand on top of his.
"Let's be friends, okay? Or maybe more in the future, if you don't mind," said Nagisa quietly.
Finni could only smile and nod. He gently wrapped his fingers in Nagisa's, and the two watched their worries melt away as the clouds floated gently by.
