Clara turned around as the sound of the TARDIS filled her kitchen. She glared at the doors until the Doctor flung them open and hurriedly stepped out.

"Am I late?" the Doctor said a bit breathlessly. He cringed slightly at the look on Clara's face. "Ah. How late?"

"An hour. Now go park in my bedroom. You're in my way," Clara snapped.

"Yes, sir," the Doctor said mockingly before shutting the TARDIS doors.

Clara rushed out of the kitchen as the TARDIS disappeared and went down the hall to her bedroom. The Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS just as Clara stepped into the room.

"I need you to go entertain the family," Clara said without preamble.

"Lead the way," the Doctor said motioning toward the door.

Clara quickly led him to the dining room where her Gran and Dad and his wife were sitting.

"Be polite," Clara stressed before walking into the room.

"Hello," the Doctor said politely to Clara's family.

They all looked up at Clara and the Doctor in surprise. The Doctor walked around and politely shook everybody's hand.

"And you are?" Dave Oswald asked, looking at Clara.

"John Smith. I just started teaching at Coal Hill this semester," the Doctor answered, sitting down and motioning minutely toward Clara that everything was fine.

Clara turned and rushed back into the kitchen. She quickly tossed the lasagna into the microwave and turned to start on the vegetables. Her thoughts quickly drifted to her and the Doctor's latest adventure and how they had been miniaturized.

"Ever microwaved a lasagna without pricking the film on top?" "It explodes."

"No!" Clara exclaimed, rushing over to the microwave.

She whipped open the microwave right as the lasagna exploded all over her. She yelped in surprise. Suddenly, the Doctor came tearing into the room, his sonic screwdriver raised in preparation for anything. He froze as his eyes fell on Clara's lasagna covered form. The Doctor and Clara stood and stared at each other for a second. The Doctor started to laugh as the rest of Clara's family rushed in. Clara glared at the Doctor as he continued to laugh.

"It is not funny," Clara exclaimed angrily.

"Is to," the Doctor responded breathlessly. He reached over and took a bit of the lasagna off Clara. He put it in his mouth and chewed slowly. He shook his head. "Still a bit undercooked. Might want to put it in the microwave a bit longer.

"Ugh!" Clara exclaimed angrily, grabbing some lasagna and flinging it at the Doctor.
