Hello readers, This is my first Hetalia fanfiction that i will be writing about so please enjoy!
This chapter is like a prologue for this story and the actual chapter starts at the next time I update.
People say that, when a human visits the town often called Heta Town, they never come back. Ever. They would never be found or be seen again. Well, that was what the rumour had said.
Feliciano and Lovino Vargas never believed the rumour from the beginning when his grandfather had told them when they were very young.
"You see Feli, Lovi, there's this old rumour told by people that, the Heta town is a mysterious place in Italy where nobody comes back alive. Or seen again. But, you see, this strong grandpa doesn't believe a thing and will visit the legendary town! Are my grandsons proud of me? No? Aww, no fair!"
His grandpa was their only family, only family he and his older brother could rely on, but an incident occurred when the twins were young. The day When these twins finally believed their grandpa's silly stories that never seemed to sound true.
On a pitiful afternoon, the words the police had spoken to the pair of young twins was, traumatising. Their loved grandpa, their only family member, went missing after the visit to the Heta Town. How much they shredded into tears, sorriness was uncounted, but something was certain. The Rumour, was indeed true.
…
…
14 years later, 1998
Hot gazing days were normal in Italy as Feliciano was almost used to it. Carrying the basket of reddened apples in his hand, the 20 years old Italian hummed cheerfully through the streets of North Italy. Everyone in Feliciano's town always claims that the younger twin of Vargas-Feliciano was the sun of Italy since he would always smile brightly and would sing beautifully. His older twin however, was often rude and inpatient. Even though the town would call him annoying, Feliciano looked up towards his brother. He wouldn't care about his brother's act because he knew why he was acting like that. He knew why he was angry and rude all the time. And it was all their grandpa's fault for ruining the family's love.
Arriving at their house, Feliciano opened the door and dropped the basket full of apples. The scene he was seeing was Lovino packing his bag. "F-fratello, W-w-what are you doing?" Feliciano gasped for breath. Was his brother done with him? Did his brother hate him so much that he was going to leave the other poor brother alone? What have he done?
Lovino looked up from his bag. Glaring at Feliciano, he let out a sigh. "I'm packing my bag, what do you think I'm doing?" Lovino glared at Feliciano with his apple green eyes and went back to packing. Feliciano almost fainted.
"I'm sorry for being noisy and loud! I'm sorry for being the annoying brother! I'm sorry for eating your pasta when I shouldn't have! I'm sorry for accidently putting chilli powder instead of salt! I'm sorry— "
"Feli, stop." His older brother's cold voice instantly stopped the Italian. Was his brother forgiving him? Or was he still leaving him?
"Fratello…" It was then when Feliciano let out the famous tears. The tears heavily streaming down his soft cheeks and his chocolate hazel eyes drowning.
"FINE FINE idiota, I'll tell you!" Lovino never liked it when his younger brother cried. Watching his brother tear down was not what he wanted, after all. Lovino sighed even more and signalled Feliciano to seat down. Feliciano did so and waited for his brother's explanations.
"You know when grandpa Roma disappeared in Heta Town? Remember? Well, I'm already old enough to visit there. I'm going to see the fucking cause of the disappearance. I'm going to figure everything out and find our grandpa, whether he is dead or alive. I need to know why they all disappeared."
"According to the news, 17 people had already went missing, each of them from different countries. A middle aged Greek woman named 'Athena Karpusi' and a middle aged Egyptian woman named 'Akila hassan' had went missing on 1978 when the two women unknowingly visited the Heta town. After the disappearance, more people from various countries got interested at the mysterious town. In 1980, 6 more people had went missing, and soon enough another 8 people had disappeared without a trace in 1983. After that, our stupid grandpa decided to go there and now he was reported as 'missing' in 1984. I know this is confusing but I listed all the people that vanished into thin air by visiting there. Look." Lovino handed the crying Feliciano a scrunched paper and waited for a response. Feliciano straightened the paper and stared at the number of people that disappeared, including his grandpa.
'All the people who went missing first to the latest:

There might be more, but no one knows their name or who they were. '
"Ve~fratello, you know you shouldn't write a swear word next to grandpa roma's name you know." Feliciano Rubbed his hazel eyes from tears as read all the strange names again. All these names were weird, and Feliciano suspected that they were probably from different people touring from different countries.
"Why would I care, idiot brother. You happy now?" Lovino suddenly stood up holding his leather bag in his hand with his chartreuse green eyes shinging with braveness. He shoved his little brother out of his way and walked to the front door. He stopped. Turning around, he hugged the crying Feliciano for a good minute and walked off.
'Bye little brother.' As he told himself, walking to the nearest bus stop, but what he hasn't realised was in fact, Feliciano was running towards him with a backpack tears flooding the streets.
Waiting in the bus stop, Lovino took out his map from his backpack and traced his finger to the marked point. 'Heta Town, I'll fucking find out the cause of the fucking disappearance. I'll go there and find it out by myself—.' Lovino nearly dropped his map. In the quiet street, there he saw his brother, running frantically towards the bus stop with pasta noodle in his right hand and a white flag in the other hand. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IDIOTA?!"
Screaming out his words, he noticed that Feliciano flinched when he arrived in the bus stop. Feliciano breath paced quickly in his tight chest.
Trembling these words out, "Ve…Who in the world would leave his little brother just by hugging him and disappear like rest of the people? I can't let that happen! You're my only family left! If you go and never c-c-come back…Then why not disappear with you? I'll rather vanish with my brother instead of hearing words about you disappearing. So please…?"
Those words melted the coldness Lovino had in his chest.
Feeling concerned deep inside, he couldn't let his dear brother come along with him, but when he said that, he knew Feliciano would suffer more when Feli was left alone. Lowering his head, Lovino only groaned.
"Fine. Just, just make sure you're with me all the time, okay?" He immediately regretted the words as Feliciano's happiness was brought back to life and was hugging him till death.
"Fe-l-i-cian-n-o! C—an-'t! Bre-a-a-th-e!" Lovino gasped and struggled but Feliciano just won't let go of him. He was always fond of his brother's natural body warmness but, sometimes Feliciano went too far out of the world.
"Oops! Sorry fratello! I'm just-I'm just too happy." Feliciano replied with his rapidly speaking skills. Sometimes, Lovino would wonder if Feliciano even breathed in the first place. Just when the hug ended, the classic rusty bus interrupted the two Italians. "Finally." Muttered Lovino, pulling Feliciano onto the bus.
"money in the box please." The daunting elderly driver stared at them as Lovino reached out for his wallet from the leather bag. Dumping notes and coins into the box, he dragged his younger brother to the back of the bus and sat silently. The bus awfully smelled like rotten sardines, windows almost unclear and seats hard as wood. And Lovino knew it wasn't long until he heard his brother's sniffling sounds. "Fratello…I don't like the feel of this." Anger boiled his head as he steadily made sure of himself not to snap.
"Then why did you even follow me in the first place, stupid. Now be quiet, would you? The ride would only take 20 minutes and then boom! We'll be standing at the infamous Het Town." Feliciano wailed more and more the time went by. Lovino was only staring at the window.
Heta Town, what could be?
