Prologue
I gasped in surprised shock at the image that was playing out behind my eyelids; the image of mine and Jacob's children playing in a garden somewhere.
"Jacob!" I gasped, when we pulled away from each other to catch our breath.
"Yes, Bells?" He questioned.
"Jacob, it's you I'm meant to be with, not Edward. He can't give me children or a proper human life, but you can. For him I would have to change but I don't for you. I'm in love with you Jacob!" I explained, as his beautiful smile lit up his face.
"I always knew you were, Bella. He was in danger of hurting you but I will never hurt you." He replied, looking into my eyes.
Just as we went to kiss again, I saw Edward walk out of the trees with a shocked expression on his face.
"Bella? Is that true? You don't love me anymore?" Edward asked.
I nodded. "It's true Edward. I've realised that I'm in love with Jacob and know that he could provide me with children and that I could be part of family that I wouldn't have to change for. I'm sorry, Edward." I replied.
"Bells, I have to go now, to fight the newborns. I'll be back as soon as the fight is over. Don't miss me to much; I love you." Jacob said, giving me a peck before jogging over to the tree line.
"I love you, too." I replied, waving him away before turning to Edward. "I'm really, really sorry, Edward. I've just realised that Jacob can provide me with the things that I know I will miss if I got turned. Charlie and Renee can still be a part of my life, as well, I wouldn't have to hide anything from them."
"I know, Bella. I'm happy for you; I think you've finally made the right choice. I'm glad that you've chosen to stay human and have chosen to be with Jacob, I would always be at risk of harming you. Just know, that I will stay here and protect you but after the fight is over my family and myself will leave you alone." He explained.
"Thank you." I said, gratefully, just as Seth burst into the small clearing followed by Victoria and another vampire.
The fight had begun…
A/N: Hello, to everybody who has taken time to read the prologue to my next story! I've already written a story about Jacob and Renesmee, but now I've started a story about Jacob and Bella. The prologue is set when Bella and Jacob kiss on the mountain before the fight with the newborns, but I won't be including the fight in this story! Jacob will still be getting injured and the next chapter will start from then. Hope you enjoy this story! X
