TMNT: Expirements

The mutant raccoon's eyes glistened in the shadows as she watched people walked by. She waited for that golden opportunity to pass by. The people stopped and the street was quiet.

"Coast is clear." She walked out into the open and ran across the street to the other alley. Her eyes ran across the side of the building, then up to the roof. "Hm…" She thought for a moment then climbed up the fire escape. She leaned back on a wall and looked at a little gold watch on her wrist.

"Hello there, Melanie." Slash greeted.

"Slash." Melanie gave a slight nod.

"You're late again…" Slash started.

She looked up at him, "I know…" She looked at her 'satchel', which is a purse.

"My patience is wearing thin, Melanie." The turtle continued.

"Would ya stop callin' me that, my name's Mel." The raccoon stared back up at him. Slash glared down at her and she glared up at him. The two looked at each other for a long while before Slash broke the silence.

"Do you have what I need?... Melanie." She glared at him while handing him the purse.

"Here. The deal's off. I did my job now it's your turn ta do yours." He took the purse and looked inside. He pulled out a full can on mutagen. He looked inside the bag again but it was empty.

"Where is the rest?"

"You'll get the rest after you finish your half of the deal."

"You don't have them do you?"

"I do." She lied.

"Hm… Then show me." Melanie shook her head.

"No." Slash gave her a warning look and she crossed her arms, "You'll jus' take it instead of doing your part." Slash walked up to Melanie and she backed up. He held out his mace and picked her up by her waist.

"Where's the rest of the mutagen, Melanie?" The turtle tightened his grip on her and bones cracked. Tears glistened in the raccoon's eyes as she bit back a scream. "Melanie?"

"I don't have it…" Mel mumbled.

"What was that?"

"I don't have it." She spoke a little louder. His eyes turned white and he yelled.

"What?!" Slash threw her and she hit the side of a building. Melanie tumbled down the side of the wall and hit a dumpster on the way down.

"Mm…" She rubbed her head, "'Ow…" She tried to stand up but everything burned inside. Slash jumped down from the building and stood over her, holding his mace above his head ready to strike her. Melanie shut her eyes and braced her impact. 'This is it,' she thought. 'I'm gonna die…' Her eyes stung and she tried to keep from crying. 'This is it…' His mace came barreling down and stopped inches from her face. She slowly opened her eyes and let the tears stream down her face. The raccoon looked up at the giant turtle. His eyes weren't white anymore and he was breathing heavily.

"I'm not going to kill you, yet. You still need to finish a deal…." Slash put down his mace and stepped away from the fallen raccoon. "I'll be back, Melanie." He kicked her stomach and she flew into the dumpster. "This isn't over." The mutant turtle ran to the shadows and left her.

"H-help…" She coughed multiple times before trying to climb out of the dumpster. But she didn't have the strength to open the lid. Everything ached and hurt whenever she moved. She laid there crying wishing he would have killed her. Mel's eyes slowly closed as it was getting harder and harder for her to breath. 'I-I'm not gonna m-make i-it…'
