Music was beating through the outdoor speakers in the Flynn - Fletcher backyard. Disco lights flashed onto the grass, and the moon shone radiantly in the dark sky.
It was midnight, and everyone in the neighbourhood were celebrating Phineas Flynn's 16th birthday party. All apart from Isabella Garcia Shapiro, who was sitting against the tree, hugging her knees and crying silently.
She looked miserably at Phineas, her now - ex - crush, as he flirted with Milly, not noticing Isabella at all.
Ferb was across the room, in the same situation. His secret crush, (Gretchen) was going off with Irving, and Ferb felt like crying. He glanced around at the happy scenery, but his eyes fixed on a pretty girl sitting against the tree.
It was of course, Isabella.
Ferb walked over to Isabella slowly. He sat beside her quietly, handing her a handkerchief.
She took it gratefully and blotted her eyes.
"So, What's up Isabella?" Ferb said, his voice as smooth as silk.
Isabella gulped back the tears. "I-I don't know F-Ferb. I dr-dropped h-hints and thought he'd re-realize that I loved him. Bu-but look at him n-now. He's going out with M-Milly! "
Ferb knew who she was on about, and rubbed her back soothingly.
"I know. I-I'm in the same s-situation. '' He said, eyes suddenly glittering with tears.
Isabella giggled "Oh look, I made y-you cry now!" She said, reaching up and blotting his eyes.
As the girl took the hankie away, she looked into Ferb's eyes. His deep, dark blue eyes. All sorts of thoughts were running through her head.
Why didn't she pay attention before? Did she love him before, and never knew it?
Kiss him! Kiss him! Stupid hormones! JUST KISS HIM ALREADY!
Ferb looked startled, but Isabella came out of her trance. She inched toward Ferb and kissed him softly on his cheek.
The green headed teen savoured the moment, before kissing her back and hugging her too.
In that moment, the two teens realized that they had been crushing on the wrong person.
So the duo climbed up onto the roof, and ignored everyone else as they sat, arms linked, watching the stars.
