Hong Kong sat in his usual seat while his 'parents' argued about breakfast. He drank his tea quietly until he felt something weird in his mouth. He looked down at his drink and saw something white. The little boy fished the white thing out as realization hit him…that was his tooth. HIS TOOTH!
Needless to say the tot was screaming his head off. England and China both paused in their morning-breakfast argument when they heard Hong Kong scream. "HONG KONG?!" China yelled and whipped around the corner to the dining room to see the boy. "Are you OK, aru?" China asked.
The boy calmed slightly and England bent down on his other side with slight concern on his face. Hong Kong un-fisted his hand and showed them the tooth. Relief washed over both China and England, realizing what had happened. "Hong Kong, it's OK. You're fine." England tried to comfort the now-crying boy by rubbing his back.
"B-but…m-my tooth, like, came out…! It's s'possed t-to be here!" he gestured to the small whole in his gums where the tooth used to hang.
"No, Hong Kong, you lose all these teeth. Then you grow new ones that are better, aru." China explained. The tot 'ohhh'-ed and his faced drained of all it's previous emotion save for a few straggling tears that came out.
"…you know, lad, if you put that under your pillow tonight a fairy will come visit you while you sleep and give you money." England said. Hong Kong's eyes widened and he turned to the Englishman with a 'really?' expression on his face. England stifled a laugh and nodded. After that their morning routine settled into normal formation, Hong Kong nearly forgetting about his tooth.
Hong Kong woke up that morning to the sound of birds chirping outside his window. He sat up, seeming to think he was forgetting something…Oh! His tooth! He pulled his pillow back and there sat a yuan. He picked up the coin and admired it, a small smile gracing his lips that he covered with his knees as he brought them up to his face.
England came in, "Oh, you're up already. I see you got your present from the Tooth Fairy?"
Hong Kong turned around and stood on his bed, flinging himself to his farther-figure, "是!" he yelped. England chuckled and picked the boy up as China came in.
"I take you're happy?" China asked with a giggle. Hong Kong nodded rapidly and England set him down on the bed.
"England? Can you tell the fairy-lady thank you for me?" England smiled and nodded. Then the family went to prepare breakfast, Hong Kong's choice.
How did I go from attempting to do this with Prussia to doing this with HK? The world may never know… But I do love Hong Kong to pieces, he's my second favorite character, after all. And I love this family~
Oh! A yuan is the Chinese currency and is (according to Google) roughly 6 US Dollars. HK gets paid more because he's adorable~
是 is "yes!" in Chinese; it's pronounced "Shì."
