( ADDITIONAL NOTES TO THE READER: Sayuri, in this book is "I" its all in first person. We won't go all Tobi on you in this story. Also, Note the love interests for Sayuri could be either Naruto or Shikamaru, I'll have a poll for that later. Thanks to those who took the time to read this note!!)

I yawned, and gave my head a shake. It had been a long day, and it felt as if when I shook my head, my thoughts could be cleared and each of my short black hairs could be like an arm, throwing away the thought without letting them ever return.

I had to go to my little brother Hikaro's funeral. He was only 8 years old, without a chance to even get his headband yet. It made me cry just thinking about him, with his crazy auburn, shaggy hair and those grey and red clothes. But I still had to clear thosr thoughts, just for now. A girl needs to sleep, whether she likes it or not. I sat down on my bed, fell back, and just cried myself to sleep.

-Dream Sequence, still in Sayuri's POV-
I was thenwalking through a forest, with many trees and vines, yet a path was somehow cleared, just for me. I came to a lake in the middle of a clearing, with sparkling clean waters, and a boy in orange and a boy in green were sitting on a dock, talking and laughing. They looked like they were having fun, but I couldn't reach them. I wanted to say hi, they seemed very familiar. Their faces were hidden from my sight, but they were still familiar. The boy in green layed down on the dock, but the boy in orange pushed him into the water.. Then a cloud of balck smoke surrounded everything I could see, and now I can't tell where I am.
-End of Dream-

I was staring at the light over my head. I was in my bedroom.
What was that strange dream..? I thought, blinking and sitting up. I had forgotten the whole thing, couldn't even remember the boys who seemed familiar.
'Well, if I forgot it couldn't have been very important!' I laughed at myself for struggling with such a silly thing, and got ready for my day. I slipped on my nicest shorts, and a black tee-shirt with no shoulders or neck and fishnets covering the shoulders. I wraped some bandages around my wrists for support, and since my left ankle has always been my bad limb, I put a fishnet around a bandage there, put on my shoes, got my shuriken and kunai and headed for some breakfast.
