"I love you" She says, her eyes almost willing me to say it back.
"Babe...I can't" I reply, a sharp pain going through me as her face falls.
"You can, but you won't" She answers sadly. "I can't wait any longer."
"Babeā¦" I plead, but she only shakes her head.
"I have to go! Goodbye Ranger" She says, grabs her bag and disappears into the night, leaving me standing in a pit stop parking lot a few kilometers outside Baltimore, where I had tracked her down.
That was the last time I saw her. Now I am an old man living with regret.

So this is actually 104 words, turns out writing a 100 words is harder than I thought.
