Chapter One
Edward and I are walking to the woods. He says he's got something to tell me. As soon as I heard it, I knew it would be something I wouldn't like. We came to a stop. "We have to leave Forks." Edward stated calmly. "Why?" I asked. I'm slightly confused, shouldn't we wait another year? "Carlisle's supposed to be ten years older than he looks. People are starting to notice." He said a bit agitated. "Okay, I...I've got to think of something to say to Charlie." Wait this doesn't add up. "When you say "we"..." I said, starting to get what he meant. "I mean to my family and myself." He sure cleared it up I guess. "You just don't belong to my world, Bella." Honestly this is just sad. I'm laughing on the inside. Once he told me, I belonged in their world unless I wanted to die. "I belong with you." I said forcefully. "No, you don't." he said. "I'm coming." I said again. "Bella. I don't want you to come." He said harshly. "You don't want me?" Ouch, that was a bit of a low blow. "No." he said softly, as if to lessen the blow. "This changes things. All right." I said. "But if it's not too much to ask...can you at least promise me something? Don't do anything reckless. For Charlie's sake. And I'll promise something to you in return. This is the last time you'll ever see me. I won't come back. And you can go on with your life...without any interference from me. It will be like...I never existed, I promise." Oh no you don't! You don't break up with me, then expect me to be following your orders! He ran away, the little pansy! He couldn't handle one human girl! Idiot. I walked home and to my room, passing Charlie. "Hey Bells, where's Edward?" he asked. "He broke up with me," I said simply. "Why?" He asked. "Nothing really personal, just his family is moving." I said. "OK," he said. "Hey Dad, can I go to the mall? I really need some new clothes." I asked. He looked shocked. "Sure Bells," he said. I grabbed my purse, which had all of the credit cards the Cullens gave me in it, and jumped in my truck. Time to go shopping.
