A/N- This story is dedicated to my close friend Emma. I hope you find 'The One' without the 'Man Stealer' intervening.

One day when everyone was walking back from church, Josie gave a sigh of disappointment. It was a warm day in late summer when almost everyone in Avonlea was home, and almost everyone seemed to have a significant someone else, everyone but Josie. Diana and Fred Wright walked along with their son Fred Jr. Charlie Sloane, the most undesirable man in Avonlea, was walking with his fiancée, Maggie. Then Josie's spirits lifted when she saw Anne Shirley walking alone, but then Gilbert Blythe ran by Josie, put his arm around Anne and kissed her. And Anne didn't do any thing about it, she just grabbed his hand and ran off. This made Josie even more depressed. All of her friends had found 'the one' and even her little sister Gertie had someone. Josie was deep in thought, and apparently so was the person behind her. He bumped into with a crash sending his books flying to the ground.

"O-o-o-oh d-d-dear, I-I'm s-s-s-so s-s-s-sorry m-m-madam," He stuttered.

Josie just looked at this man. He was a tall unattractive boy dressed in ministerial attire. He was in fact their minister, and her old classmate, Rev. Moody MacPherson. He had red hair, cut in a displeasing fashion, but to her he was beautiful. She looked at him in a way she had never looked at any man before, she looked at him with pure love.

Moody had been courting Josie from that day forth. On that day, a year later, Moody Proposed and Josie was the happiest girl alive. The same day the next year, they were married and they lived happily ever after.
