Klaus dipped Caroline's head back and scraped his fangs against her throat. Droplets of blood dripped from the grazes and he licked them away from where they had trickled down her neck and chest. She moaned, and pressed her naked body tighter against Klaus' own. She could feel his massive erection pressed against her thigh and she ran her hands down to touch it. A hiss escaped from Klaus' lips and he hungrily smashed his mouth against Caroline's and their tongues clashed violently together. Klaus ran his hands down her back and cupped her backside, lifting her up and pressing her roughly against the wall. She trailed kisses down his neck before throwing her head back in ecstasy as he finally entered her.
Afterward, Klaus flung her onto the bed and lay down next to her. Caroline stared at the ceiling. She knew that she shouldn't like all the dirty and depraved things Klaus did to her in the dark. The things that she let him do, the things that she wanted him to do. Caroline liked who she had become over these past few months with Klaus; someone deadly and powerful. Embracing her vampiric nature, turning her back on her old life was liberating. She was no longer tied down by her unloving mother, or her selfish friends, she was finally free. Free to be herself. In the beginning, however, she worried about what she was becoming. When Caroline had mentioned these concerns to Klaus, he had assured her that it's because it's in her nature, now that she was a vampire. She would always be grateful to Klaus for making her understand that her hunger for blood and urges to kill were normal, and that supressing them was not going to make her any less of a vampire and give her back her old life. This is who she was now.
All of the killing and torturing they did together thrilled her. The sound of screams and the scent of fear. She revelled in the power she felt after consuming so much human blood, she felt invincible. And when they had sex, it was amazing. The taste of his blood and sweat on her tongue, the feel of his skin underneath her fingertips, the sounds and moans he made. And then there were other things, like the way he smiled at her and how he'd drop his arm around her shoulder when they were walking, and most importantly, the way he made her feel. Wanted, needed and appreciated.
Caroline sighed, and rolled over to face the wall. She was in love with him, but she understood what kind of person he was. He would never love her back. So, regardless of her feelings, Caroline would never leave. Not just because of her love for him, but because he needed her. They fulfilled something in each other than had been denied to them in their human lives. She was his companion, and she owed him for all that he had done for her. So she would stay for as long as he wanted her.
