"You will become my Empress, Morgiana."

Morgiana shivered. No, she wanted to cry out. No.

"You can't escape." He moved closer. "You're mine. You belong to me."

She moved back. Alibaba, she wanted to scream out, Alibaba, help me. Help m-

"Alibaba won't come." She froze "He's married to Kougyoku now, did you forget? He belongs to them, now." She could hear the faint note of disgust in his voice now. His voice softened slightly. "But you don't, Morgiana. You belong to me. Not to them, not to him, but to me." He reached his hand out. "You are my Empress. Never forget that."

In spite of herself, Morgiana shook with fear. Alibaba, come save me! Save me! No! Why, Hakuryuu, why-

"Morgiana? Morgiana?!"

Morgiana's eyes snapped open. She was breathing heavily. Too heavily. She turned her head. Yellow-gold eyes stared back into her red-ruby eyes. Alibaba.

"Morgaina, are you all right?" That was when she realized she had spoken aloud. "Alibaba," she repeated. Alibaba looked even more worried. "Shh," he tried to soothed,"it was just a nightmare. Nothing to worry about. Don't cry, don't cry." Don't cry?She lifted her hand to her face. It was true, she was crying-only now, instead of crying out from fear, she was crying out of relief; relief and love. "Don't cry."

Alibaba stroked Morgiana's red hair. "What was it you dreamed about?" he asked.

Morgiana took a deep breath. "My life-my life from before."

He understood. He always did. "It's okay," he soothed, "it's all over. Everything is all right. He won't hurt you. He can't hurt you. No one can." He put his hand above his heart. "No one can. As long as I am here," he pledged.

As long as I am here.

As though those words were the magic to break the ice, Morgiana instantly felt better. Lighter. She gazed into her husbands eyes. "As long as you are here," she repeated.

"Mama!" shrieked a young girl's voice. Morgiana instantly felt the hands of a small child on her skirt. She looked down. "Can we go play outside again?"

Morgiana gazed into her red-haired daughter's blue eyes and smiled. "Of course."

She sought her husband's eyes out again.

"As long as you are here," she repeated.
