Hi Guys, I'm Rose. I created this account back in January so I could read fanfiction, but not write. Well done self! This is my very first story, and I'm a sucky writer, but give me feedback!Hoping to finish this quickly because I know how awful it is to leave a story unfinished. Hope you enjoy!

"Say goodbye"

"Not this day"

"This day, the next, a hundred years, it's nothing! It's a heartbeat! You'll never be ready. The only woman whose love you prized will be snatched from you."

Loki sneered at Thor.

"Will that satisfy you?"

"Satisfaction's not in my nature!"

"Surrender's not in mine"

Thor glanced back at Jane. Loki sighed. Thor would never get it. He would never understand the danger in letting yourself be so vulnerable to such an inferior species. Loki knew that Jane would grow old and die in what would seem a year in Thor's life. As much as he despised Thor, he couldn't let this happen to him. Loki understood just how fragile a Misgardian's life was, and he wouldn't wish that pain on anyone.

Looking over at the sleeping Jane, she reminded him so much of Clara is was unbelievable. It only made his pain worse thinking about her. He concentrated on driving the boat to get her out of his head. She's gone, and never coming back! He reminded himself, shaking his head several times. No matter how long ago he had seen her, the pain never went away. He brought his finger and wiped away a tear. STOP! He told himself over and over again, she's not worth it. But he knew deep down she was. He missed her more than anything else in the world.

The way Jane looked at Thor was a reminder to the way Clara looked at him. He wished he could have seen that look one more time, for one instant. But, she was long gone before he got the chance.
