A New Start

The only teacher I can safely say taught me was Iruka, but only in the academy. Kakashi only taught me tree climbing and Jiraiya is a perv that can't think as long as there is a women in sight. And my team...both of them hurt me physically and mentally. No more, I will find my own team, my own teacher. I will find people that I can trust, and maybe, one day, see as a family.

Naruto has never really had the help he needs.

The closest is Iruka, but only after Naruto graduates does he become someone that Naruto could rely on.

Kakashi has only taught him tree walking (after Sasuke leaves).

Jiraiya... well let's just say he isn't exactly reliable (especially when there were women around)

His team, well one hits him and another put a hole in his chest.

So the idea is this, what if Naruto abandons Jiraiya on the training trip and comes back with a full team (sensei and two other teammates) that actually support him fully and want him to grow?

Basics of this challenge:

1. Naruto leaves Jiraiya on the training trip (the one after getting Tsunade and Sasuke going crazy).

2. He must come back with a team, including a sensei

3. The team must function (yes I know, repetitive, but just what to make sure)

The author has freedom to:

1. Decide if Sasuke stays (this could easily change the tone of the story)

2. Who the teammates are (if they are from Naruto or of your own creation)

3. Make this a story or crossover
